Fire Pit Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Peotone

This was probably the worst service I've ever had! A coworker and I went there for lunch (we get 1hr for lunch). We arrived shortly after 12pm. We chose to eat on the patio where there was one other table (the inside smelled like smoke.) It took 10min. to get our drinks and for the server to take our order. I ordered a pork burger and my coworker ordered a chicken sandwich. We both ordered a cup of soup, that came out very timely and was very good. However, 30min. later we still did not have our food. At 12:45pm when we still did not have our food that we should probably take it to go. I informed the server of this and that we needed our check. It took another 5min. to get our check and another 10min. to track the server down to actually pay the bill. Turns out she was the ONLY person in the building. We went inside to look for her and she was waiting on the full bartop. We finally paid and returned to work late to try and inhale our lunch since we were not able to enjoy it on our 1hr lunch break, only to find a bloody pork burger and chicken sandwich!!!!! We called the restaurant right away and they asked us to bring it back! This was our first and LAST experience at the Fire Pit!!! It might be a decent place if you have no time constraints, but definitely not the place to go for lunch, unless you want served...

Saturday April 17th, 2021 a few minutes after 7:00pm my husband and I with another couple walked into the Fire Pit Bar & Grill... Could only give them one star for the atmosphere ....it was ok...after about 15 minutes the bartender/server looked over to us and said she would be right with us so we waited she finally came to the table took our drink order mentioned to us this was her first day...she seemed overwhelmed we got our drinks and ordered appetizers....approximately 1 hour later appetizers came....there was another lady who (we think was the owner) She ask if everything was ok...told her we had not placed our order she said she thought the other lady had taken it... and then the other lady said I thought you had taken it....so after being there for over 1 1/2 hours we finally placed our order...an finally couple of minutes after 10:00pm ....YES....10:00pm We get our food.... 2 orders of walleye with patato's an a vegetable...and two hamburger with fry's....THE FOOD was cold...we had...had enough...we told the server we were leaving...Oh yes paid for the appetizers and drinks $26.00 and left.. WE WOULD NEVER NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE....NEVER AGAIN...Now trying to find a place to go eat this late... wound up at HOPPY PIG....got our drinks under 5 minutes food took approximately 20 minutes perfect....left there by...

Not a terrible looking place at first glance. Then you look a little closer and see the messed up tables and chairs; the dirt stains in the floors; the wind spinners outside in the flower boxes stuffed in prescription pill bottles (only noticed these when I was leaving). Ordered an appetizer combo and they didn’t bring the right things we chose. The portion size was so small it was ridiculous and very over priced for what you get. I had three dining partners and we all ordered the same main course of pierogis. It took an hour to get our food. It was brought out in a cast iron like it should have been hot. It was very much not. The actual pierogis tasted like they came out of the freezer isle at the grocery store and they were actually burnt. They claimed to be cooked in a garlic butter sauce, but they tasted like they were just thrown in a deep fryer and then finished to death on a flat grill. Sauerkraut was tasted like canned sauerkraut and was not rinsed. Left a real bad aftertaste. Finally, the portion size was a joke for hour much they charge. Then, as we were leaving, one of my dining partners noticed the waitress pull a vape out of the back of her pants (not a back pocket either) while in the kitchen and take a hit. She then shoved it back in her pants and went back to work without washing her hands. Will...
