I live in the area and have visited MN Traders a number of times. The place has great decor and wonderful ambiance. I have had the opportunity to try a number of things on the menu and here are my thoughts. Margherita Flatbread-Excellent! It has been excellent every time I have ordered it and is still my favorite. Brunch Board-For the price, I'd give it a pass. The items that should have been at least warm, if not hot, were not. My husband and I split it. While we were not hungry when we left, we were a long way from full. Granola Bowl-Considering the size of this, it's an okay deal. However, I recently had it and it has changed and not for the better. There used to be a good helping of granola on top which is now about half the amount and the other half is flax and chia seed. If you like that kind of thing, great but I don't care for it. Also, there used to be a nice serving of fruit on top. This last time, there were about 6 or 8 pieces of strawberry. Not whole strawberries, just small chunks. Bagel and cream cheese-You can get a plain or everything bagel and you get an okay amount of cream cheese but not a lot. Pretty skimpy for both halves. Nothing special. Just a bagel and it will cost you $6. Avocado Toast-This was my favorite breakfast thing for a long time. The last couple of times I ordered this the toast was just a little above room temp. Also, it seems to be tougher or drier than it used to be. It is a small portion and at $13, not worth it. Cappuccino-Great tasting Cappuccino but a large will cost you $5 for a six ounce serving. With half of it being foam, it will be gone in a very short time. For coffee, the better option is their daily brew, which is usually pretty good. Wine Selection-I give them high marks for the wine selection. There are a couple of whites I am fond of. At $8-$10 a glass, you get a decent pour in a nice glass. The whites always have a nice chill. The pastry case always looks tempting. I have tried a donut and a croissant. Both were disappointing. A bit on the dry side and not a lot of flavor and, again-no bargain price wise.
I gave the service 3 stars because the order takers are not terribly friendly. The last time I was in the gal just stared at me waiting for my order. Didn't bother to say hello. This is fairly typical. I have not been wowed by any warmth or friendliness...
Read moreLove this place!! It was such a need in this community and they knocked it out of the park! We’ve been here several times now, at all times a day and nothing disappoints. The whole building is beautifully and tastefully done — I’ve never felt more at home in my hometown! Great restaurant, cool happy hour deals, and a super unique home goods selection too! The craft beer selection is always rotating and on top of what’s best locally. The craft cocktails are a hidden gem and absolutely the best in the area. And the staff is clearly SO well trained on how to make a proper latte. Cannot recommend this place enough. It’s my top choice for brunch, a patio session, and live music too! They also just added an ice cream shop two doors down — we loved the soft serve option and the kids clothes selection was so cute!! Add this place to your must do...
Read moreA nice little place that seems more catered towards brunch. Which seems amazing. We ended up going for happy hour and a cheese board. Our board was great and they even gave us more bread when we needed it as we ran out quickly with four of us eating. Three of the four drinks were really tasty. The breakfast Manhattan was delicious and the other 3 drinks we ordered were the Christmas margarita. Two of those were lights out good! The third one somehow wasn't even the same color and tasted nothing like the other 2. Besides that the food and drinks were good. They also had a little shopping area for home goods type products. All of those items were extremely expensive. For example paper gift tags were almost $20 for 10ea or a 4oz honey jar for $30. Overall a neat space and...
