I am an incredibly understanding and forgiving person but I just experienced my last straw with this McDonald's location today 9/7/23 around 8:15pm, and I have frequented this location regularly over the last 5 years.
I have previously had extremely slow service of 20+ minute wait in the drive thru on multiple occasions, and normal wait times are typically 5-10 minutes. Many many MANY messed up orders, missing, cold, and stale food, wrong drinks, iced coffee that tastes like sugar water, etc. And do I complain? No. Am I ever rude? No. I can count on ONE hand the times I've asked them to make previous mistakes right over the last 5 years (several items missing in a single order). I extend kindness and gratitude that someone else is making me food and I don't have to add cleaning even more dishes to my list of responsibilities.
Have I ever left a drive thru after placing an order, abandoning my desired meal, possibly causing food waste? Never... Before today.
My experience went down hill when I was charged a higher price than what was advertised on ALL of their signage.
That McDonald's as a whole has a "discount" that offers 2 items for a sale price higher than the advertised price of the item when bought individually is so much nonsense I have a hard time wrapping my head around it.
However, I could have been my normal forgiving self.. But the straw that has broken my back, was when I asked why it was different than advertised and could they please correct it, (had a wonderful employee do automatically on previous visits so I know it's possible) both the employee and manager began their interactions with me using a snarky tone, and dismissive, "deal with it or leave" language, the manager brandishing her authority like a weapon... To the point I felt my only safe option was to abandon my order and leave their queue. I have never been treated so poorly and I can only hope their time working there is short or they grow as humans because their behavior and treatment of a customer was completely unacceptable.
TLDR: I have not experienced such POOR treatment as a customer IN MY LIFE. This McDonald's location will not receive 1 more cent from me...
Read morePoor experience...no one at counter so we assumed we needed to use the kiosk. Punched in a simple order of a soda, coffee and hot fudge sundae. Once finished, we waited for nearly 5 minutes before someone came out of the back and asked of we needed to place an order. We said no, already did and it's on the board. They left. A few minutes later a second person can and asked if we'd been helped, and we said didn't need to be, just needed to pay and get our drinks. That person took our money and left. After another few minutes, someone who looked like perhaps a manager came up and he too asked if we had been helped. We told him what we ordered, and finally he went and got our drinks and ice cream. Mind you, the entire time we were in the lobby, not one other customer was there....just us, and probably 5 to 7 staff members were walking aimlessly around the store never bothering to check why we were standing there for nearly 15 minutes. Oh, and unfortunately, the ice cream in the sundae was crystalized like it had been thawed and refrozen. I know staffing is difficult these days, but I would have thought someone should have stepped up. This has been a regular stop for us on our way across the State, but will not be moving forward. Guess we'll need to find another midpoint to...
Read moreAfter a cross Continental flight with my daughter we swung this McDonald's in Merriman road to get some food and what an experience that was. Uninspired workers, very gloomy, dirty- as in unhygienic- and quite unaccommodating of their customers requests. We wanted two separate orders, we're told that they couldn't do that! Asked for Apple pie and were rudely informed that they don't offer that without offering an alternative or explanation and finally we were given the order in one paper bag despite our request the order be split. When the driver through worker handed is the food or was missing my daughter's meal and it took 8 minutes to get it to us. Meanwhile the line behind was growing longer. I did voice my feelings -very politely and nicely, I might add- to the window worker, she didn't seem interested and the manager who was lurking in the background seemed less interested and quite irritated. Finally, the burger didn't have any garnishing on it, no lettuce, no tomatoes, no onions and besides being burnt and cold, it was a totally disgusting sandwich. My daughter, 10, noted that if they were that unhappy with their jobs than they should quit. I'd never eat...
