Crab Shack — Restaurant in Philadelphia

FB friends, So "Crab Shack" on 16th Belfield I've been going to sence the 80s, when long lines would be outside. I don't complain on Facebook but this is warranted. Eight of my Senior Citizens contributed $80 for a 1/2 bushel of crabs for a cookout. I had to drive to the Crab Shack 25min, to pay for the 1/2 bushel the day before, because they dont take oders over the phone.!! I drove there and put order for the following day, of 1/2 busshel of crabs, + more $102, to be ready next day at 1:30pm. I arrived 1:30 next day, "they forgot".( I should have ask for my money back and went elsewhere) . They ask me to wait 15 minutes, while they cooked 1/2 bushel. I waited outside, it took only 10 minutes. I new then there would be a problem. Unveiling my 1/2 bushel crabs at the cookout was so embarrassing. There were about 50-55, $1 small crabs. "A bushel should consist of different sizes, smallI, medium and large". I called I spoke to the manager after hours of calling, he apologized for the person that "cooked and boxed them and assured me they would make it up when I come back!!! I went there today, managers not there. They must call owner, who was not there. The daughter is the one who took my money and told me the next day she forgot. Now via telephone owner says "Sorry there is nothing they can do". I promised these Seniors that they, Crab Shack, would make it up to them, per the manager. I have to pass 5 crab places to buy from them. Never ever will they get my family and myself business!! See picture of the crabs and my hand, to show the size. People can just take your money and say "Sorry" Realy!! Please...

Yesterday we came to ordered some seafood I had mussels my man had 1/2 pound shrimp first off the place looks ran down the only thing they had was crabs n some salads made in the freezer area the place looked as if they didn't clean in a very long time the cashier had the nastiest rude demnor ever why do people like that have a job in customer server once we got out food it was disgusting the mussels was saturated in cold butter the shrimps was also saturated in cold butter no seasoning no taste not even heated up properly as we asked and we had to pay cash. So discuting I threw up from trying to eat one mussle I immediately threw them out on the ground mybe the birds or cat or something can eat on that mess. Horrible I will never ever go there for food again. We would up going to the clock bar where the food was made perfect and taste hot and not saturated in cold butter this place needs a make over or...

First off, customer service is bad at this place. Went in to get crabs and they wasn’t ready . So I asked how long before they are ready because I can wait, well the guy gone say about an hour or maybe two like he didn’t want be rushed. They opened at 11am, I walked in around 11:30am. Didn’t get greeted just a look up and I had to say Hello. As a business owner myself, when you have good customer service, it goes a long way. This guy whole vibe was extremely given rude. I was willing to wait the hour as I know the crabs are good but it’s the principle of the tone and attitude he had. Won’t be returning back. And I used to praise this crab shack back in the day. Treat ppl how you want to be treated because this guy definitely doesn’t have customers...
