HOOKED SEAFOOD — Restaurant in Philadelphia

I was extremely disappointed in my order that I received from Grubhub. I’ve ordered Sautéed Blue Crabs and I was so excited because it is truly hard to find good places that serves Blue Crabs amongst the other competitors in this city. Once I’ve received my order, the crabs were over cooked, very small, some barely had meat inside, it was also crunchy and dried out. It looked like it’s been sitting out for days with sauce just sitting at the bottom. I was pissed 😡 😤 I couldn’t believe that they would sell someone this stuff especially since they have been newly open and been recommended by Wallo. I believe the same energy the owners put into those who have a level of higher status, that promotes their business to drawn new customers. Should be the same energy to provide quality food for everyone else. I would advised for future customers to not order online but order inside the restaurant instead..this way the business can be held accountable for stuff like this when it happens. You never really no what you’ll get because it can be a hit or a miss. And this was a terrible miss. I’ve could of put them on blast online if I wanted to but I chose not to. However, this was my second time ordering and they were delicious and the sauce is amazing. It’s just unfortunate that I had to experience what I did. I wouldn’t feed that platter I received to a dog. Please do better..because someone else may not extend grace if this...

I have tried to support this place so many times and I just can't anymore. Everything is salty. Buffalo wings are frozen breaded wings tossed in a sauce which makes them a soggy mess! It's really a hit or miss with this place and it's too expensive to not be on point. We have to stop supporting businesses that come in our neighborhoods and feed us food that contributes to our health challenges!!!! Do better!!!

Edit in response to the owner: I'm aware that I'm ordering unhealthy food. I'm speaking of the amount of salt that is used to season the food that makes it hard to consume. My " $10 chicken and wings" was one of a big order that my job placed. We've returned food before because the order was wrong or nasty and had it replaced ,so we have tried to work with our people as much as possible. Not sure why my review got a whole essay response when others who gave a lesser rate were offered refunds to make it right. If you read your reviews on different platforms you'll find that the complaints are the same. We really do have to do better instead of being defensive. That energy would be better used finding better vendors for your salty, mushy...

Sad to say but I rarely ever leave reviews unless I’m highly displeased but when I tell y’all I am hooked! I ordered for the first time on January 4th via DoorDash and I haven’t stopped since. I have a pescatarian diet so I always get the fish and vegetable platter. My boyfriend has tried the crab fries, hot wings, wings and fries, and $24 seafood platter. He’s not a big fish eater so I had to convince him to get the fish platter. Last night he said “I get sadder with every bite because it’s almost gone”. I convinced my mom to order as well and she went for a pick up of a seafood platter and oysters. She said everyone was pleasant and very down to earth. This food is very much worth it especially for the price and the portions. I will continue to tell...
