A wonderful place that absolutely deserves more business. The man at the counter was kind and answered all of my questions clearly. He gave out all of the options which made ordering much easier for me. The service was incredibly quick. We had four people and the food came out in less than 10 minutes. The food itself was very flavorful and juicy. I got the meal for one with beef birria tacos, gochujang wings, and chips. The tacos were incredible. They were incredibly juicy and the meat was tender. The consume was bursting with flavor and had a slightly sweet aftertaste that pulled everything together. The wings were crispy with juicy chicken. The gochujang wings were sweet but had a nice kick. They were stingy with the chips but the guacamole was good. The watermelon drink was VERY pulpy but my father loved it and said it was very refreshing. They dont have seating but we ate at a cute park just down the road. I would absolutely recommend eating here and I will be back.

When you’re always wanting it all and can’t decide between having Korean bbq, tacos or a cheesesteak. Oh my I found the perfect spot. Located in the Gray’s Ferry section of south Philly, take out only, situated on the corner with a simple white sign hanging, it has to be good right? It looks like a mashup of Korean and Mexican foods. I decided on the bulgogi cheesesteak with American cheese, if you don’t know it bulgogi is the sliced marinated beef from a kbbq, now imagine that in a seeded roll with cheese, it’s a beef bulgogi cheesesteak! 🤤 second choice, imagine the birria tacos with its side dipping broth. Here we have bulgogi birria tacos with its dip 🤯😋 Ok after the tasting, I must say this is a pretty cool tasting experience. I’m sure it’s been around, probably not something I’ll want all the time but it’s worth the tickle to your taste buds 😊😋😋

It gets busy I recommend doing an online order then going to pick it up they text you soon as your order is ready which is super convenient. My favorites were the birria tacos, they had all the flavor you'd expect, and the House Kimchi Nachos packed with delicious meat and cheese and the pico de gallo made it so flavorful every bite. 3rd fav was the quesadilla the beef meat has a bit of a sweet flavor and just delicious every bite. Did try the cheese steak as well but it did not wow me it is missing like a sauce to really bring more flavor to the meat which i felt was lacking. Lastly the Spicy Gochujang Fried Chicken Sandwich didn't really give me spicy flavor and had more like a kimchi after taste that didn't blend well for me would not get again.

The Birra Tacos at Korea Taqueria are an absolute culinary delight that flawlessly fuses the flavors of Korean and Mexican cuisines into a mouthwatering masterpiece. As a food enthusiast, I've had the pleasure of exploring various fusion dishes, and I must say that these tacos stand out as a true testament to innovative and delicious cross-cultural culinary experimentation.

The first thing that struck me upon receiving my order was the tantalizing aroma that wafted from the plate. The aroma alone was enough to make my taste buds tingle with excitement, and I couldn't wait to take my first bite. The Birra Tacos were beautifully presented, featuring tender, slow-cooked beef birria, succulent and full of rich flavors that danced harmoniously on the palate.

The tortillas used for these tacos were fresh, warm, and perfectly soft, providing an excellent vessel for holding the generous serving of birria. The texture contrast between the tender meat and the soft tortillas was pure bliss. Accompanying the tacos were vibrant and colorful toppings, including a refreshing cucumber kimchi, tangy pickled red onions, and a zesty cilantro-lime crema that elevated the overall taste experience to another level.

One of the most striking elements of these Birra Tacos was the balance of flavors. The beef birria was expertly seasoned with a delectable blend of Korean and Mexican spices, resulting in a harmonious fusion of sweet, savory, and slightly spicy notes that left a lasting impression. Each bite was a symphony of tastes, leaving me craving for more.

The attention to detail and the quality of ingredients were evident in every aspect of the dish. It was clear that the chefs at Korea Taqueria had put a lot of thought and effort into creating a unique and exceptional offering. The authenticity of the flavors showcased a deep understanding and appreciation for both Korean and Mexican culinary traditions.

The Birra Tacos are a true representation of the diverse and dynamic food scene in the fusion cuisine realm. They managed to take the best of both worlds and merge them seamlessly, resulting in a memorable dining experience that I will cherish for a long time. Whether you are a fan of Korean or Mexican cuisine, or simply someone looking for a remarkable gastronomic adventure, these Birra Tacos are an absolute must-try.

I must commend Korea Taqueria for their culinary ingenuity and commitment to delivering outstanding dishes. The Birra Tacos are a shining example of how innovative fusion cuisine can be when done right. The experience of savoring these tacos was not just a meal; it was a culinary journey that left me inspired and delighted. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Korea Taqueria and indulging in this extraordinary creation. Your taste buds will...

Super Bowl Fumble turned Fabulous!

I started a new job and had been working weekends so when Super Bowl was approaching, the consensus in my household was we HAVE to have Korea Taqueria lol.

We love the food and love supporting local businesses. I also regularly refer many friends and clients to the establishment since it's one of my favorite spots in the city!

I placed an order and decided to pick it up on my way home from work (I worked on Super Bowl Sunday) and because my youngest daughter has a severe nut and seeds allergy, I put in notes not to have any nuts, seeds or peanut butter.

Doing my due diligence as a mom that has dealt with this allergy since her birth, I decided to make an additional phone call to confirm that they received my order and to further reinforce no nuts seeds or peanut butter. The person receiving my call assured me if it it was on the order there should be no concern.

I go to pick up and haul everything into the car, being it was the Super Bowl, there was no parking in my neighborhood for blocks, so I dropped it off and continued to find parking which took a good 15 minutes circling the neighborhood by this time it was already almost half time during the game and everyone was hungry.

My oldest daughter called to say that there were sesame seeds all over the wings! and food missing from our order as well. I was upset and deflated and immediately called them back to express my anger and my issue.

Food is now cold and after reassurance that there wouldn't be an issue with my order now was one.

I wanted to show Grace since it was the Super Bowl but I just felt rejected that with all my good intentions in assuring the order was correct it still wasn't. And the person on the phone didn't have the authority to refund or handle my concern.

Andrew was gracious enough to call me back and offer a full refund on my order and did everything to make it right. He was patient with me and executed with exceptional customer service and also offered me a $50 voucher for a future order. His professional and genuine care didn't surprise me at all since they are such a respectable establishment and it was just unfortunate that I had had that experience but he smoothed it over and I was just so grateful for his understanding and for taking care of us!

Thank you so much Korea Taqueria for serving up some of the best tacos and wings and for having such an integrity driven business. You shut me up real quick lol and I will always be a loyal patron of your business! You guys...

Ordered from here last night and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the birria tacos and a steak bowl. The tacos were delicious! I think there’s pineapple or something in it. Idk but it was really good. It’s been a min since I got food that I can eat as is.

The bowl was really good too. I didn’t realize that you had to add the romaine (my fault not theirs). I ordered it because I’ve been eating cheesesteaks all week and wanted something healthy 🤣. The steak was a little salty, but outside of that it was really good. Grilled corn would take this to the next level. The bowl isn’t a bunch of rice and everything else. I didn’t even get to the sauces that came with it yet (same with the tacos). It has enough flavor on its own. I’m going to make more rice, add some greens and get my part 2 on with that one. Fwiw I don’t think the meat would be too salty with greens. It wasn’t anything crazy. This will be my go to lunch on my in office days. I think it’ll be really good with shrimp.

Clearly this place has great food because I just wrote a short novel about a bowl (and yes I’m eating the leftover bowl while writing this at 8am lol). I can’t wait to try the...
