Unfortunately, I have had a bad experience tonight with the manager of this establishment. Her tone set the mood for my night, as I ordered a grilled chicken pizza and it was half of the pizza only. I asked her on the phone,if they ran out of chicken? Needless to say how the conversation went as I do not like being called a liar!
She said I checked it myself; needless to say the half was burnt! I ended up walking up to the store to take it back to show her as I ordered and delivered to me. The manager was quite insensitive, unprofessional, and her attitude over the phone was the cue to how her day was going!
While in the store she opened the box while she was speaking to me, and she went to the co-workers to show them the 🍕* please note that again* having a conversation with the open box. There was a misunderstanding in communication because I would have rather been compensated monetary for the inconveniences of having food delivery, walking it back to the store, and half grilled chicken pizza! She did not explain to me would make me another one because she was too quick with an attitude~ " well I need to see it" .
If you checked to see the pizza delivered then you would have know (as a said manager) the pizza was burnt! And the other side was definitively lighter on the crust. As manager you stand by the brand you work for and make sure the QUALITY of it is to meet customer expectations. (Yes, I ate a small piece and I realized then I had ordered a grilled chicken pizza! )
I overall never had a bad experience with their quality of food, customer service, and delivery service. I will not be ordering from there again as I definitely would not like to have this type of treatment bestowed upon me as nor should anyone else have to deal with the disrespectful and unprofessional mannerism to...
Read moreI didn't intend to stay so it was just a pick up order on 2 LG Cheese (Special) and no exaggeration it was absolutely the best pizza 🍕 in West Philly when it comes to quality, location, promptness and price. To give a comparison of just (1) of the pizzas from the 2 large cheese Pizza Pete's 2 LG 🧀 🍕 special for less than $20. The quantity of cheese would be at least $18 each pizza at Papa Johns. No exaggeration. I thought that maybe they just happen to be in a good mood and passing on the good vibes. But that particular night as well as 3 nights later from my first time experiencing the food. I honestly am convinced that they are very quick preparing, and blessing customers with the quantity of ingredients chosen. Majority of these (independent) "food" est's take extra steps to reserve potential repetitive business. I wish I would have found out about Pete's Pizza before, say back during the holiday season a couple months ago.
Every time I ordered from Papa Johns, it would never involve me ordering online or via phone and walking in to pick up and pay. Usually it involves a line and more waiting accompanied by a lot of confusion. Whether I have to reorder and wait again and play games or idk. The frustration for something so simple has caused me to refrain from ordering from my nearest Papa John's and just shop with Pete's. It's a bit longer of a walk but it's still the Powelton district and my 5 yr old kid prefers Pete's Pizza. So that's enough reason for me and it's...
Read moreTo call this establishment a restaurant would be unfair to all places that actually provide food service. Nothing they sell remotely resembles a product that is even passable as highway gas station food. As far as I can tell, this place exists solely to punish anyone foolish enough to order from them.
I am convinced the owner and staff must be on terrible terms because the staff seems to be actively sabotaging the food in order to get customers to stay clear. This could be due to laziness or poor management but it is clearly intentional. They will do everything in their power to get you to leave without ordering whether you call or place an order in store. That can mean yelling at customers in person or over the phone, making you wait at the register while the cashier chats away on FaceTime, intentionally destroying food (look at some of the picture reviews on here), or throwing fits if you ask for literally anything from napkins to a topping on a pizza.
My standards could not be lower for pizza. I get it only when it’s the only option late at night. You are better off going to a 7/11, never mind the thriving Jamaican spot right on the corner. The one saving grace is that this place has amazing potential on a show about terrible pizza places. The quality, service, and cleanliness are beyond anything you’ve ever seen on kitchen nightmares. They’d be better off rebranding as a pizza themed...
