My puppy and I were kicked out of this park today by the park director Gary Ginsburg. We have been coming to this park for 6-7 months on a daily basis to train and exercise. I use a 30 ft long line to keep my well trained 10 month old pup under control. Gary suggested we can’t be at the park unless we are walking through on a leash because he has been getting complaints about dog activity. Although the space is nice, there are some entitled individuals that frequent the park and claim sections of the park as their own. UPenn and Gary have made it clear that this park is for strolling and human activities, but dogs on long leashes cannot enjoy their space.

The park is very clean, it wasn't crowded, a place where you want to walk through sit down think and just enjoy nature this was my first time there and I actually enjoyed it I was able to be in the zoom meeting for a full hour with no interruptions a place we just may want to clear your head and then go about your day

Saunders Park is a charming neighborhood nestled in the West Philadelphia section of Philadelphia. It is bordered by Powelton Avenue, 38th Street, Lancaster Avenue, and 40th Street, placing it west of Powelton Village and north of Spruce Hill. The park itself, located at the northeastern corner of 39th and Powelton Avenue, lends its name to the neighborhood and serves as a green oasis amidst the urban landscape. Saunders Park is not only a residential area but also a community hub, featuring park benches, picnic tables, and hosting a variety of festivals and events that bring together residents and visitors alike. With the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center adjacent to the park, Saunders Park is often considered part of the larger West Powelton area, extending out to 42nd Street. This neighborhood has actively participated in shaping its future, working with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission to plan for economic vitality and improved...
