Philo Tavern — Restaurant in Philo

I've never been to a restaurant that was so slammed and the wait staff were so calm and friendly! It was Friday at about 6 - every table full, and the staff were just cool as cucumbers! Years ago I waited tables for about a decade - I would have been so frazzled with how busy it was! Kudos to our young lady server (great job!), and kudos to the owners for having such a great establishment. Prices were beyond fair in this crazy era and the food was delicious. Cheers! Seriously has that vibe to it walking in. Welcoming establishment with a typically small town ambience. Place was clean- floors, table, place settings, chairs, etc. No soap grime even! Waitress was smiling and friendly. Decent menu with fairly standard items, but apparently we should've been there on a Saturday when the prime rib shows up. Food was hot and cooked perfectly. Mostly fried items and salad bar doesn't exist anymore. Overall a great lil' place to meet friends and enjoy...

You would expect a small town bar and grill to give you great food at an even better price. Not this place. The food is in small portions and over priced. Take their hot wings for example. You get 6 small chicken wings that are dried out and very bland. They cost me $7.80 only.. Complete rip off. The tender aren't terrible, mediocre at best.

I've been to smaller towns than this one and have gotten way better food cheaper than I would here. And good luck finding a parking spot...
