The queso-birria tacos with the homemade corn tortillas were the best. The flour tortillas were not really toasted and the tortilla got too soggy that it was falling apart. The beans were good but the rice was tasteless and not thoroughly cooked. Too many raw, hard grains. 5 stars on the homemade corn tortillas!

I read other reviews regarding the unfriendly, rude lady. It is so true! She is very cold and dry, not a people person definitely. She is the medium/heavy set older woman. The skinny lady was super nice, when she came to the front, it was the beginning of her shift and she said "buenas tardes" to everyone in the restaurant. I also read about them asking for tips, it seems they use the Square POS that asks for a tip at the end but they don't show you the screen so you can't choose yourself, I think that's why they ask. I didn't use a card because they charge .50 cents extra. I paid cash and she rounded it off. My order was $16.00 and she said $19. I asked her why and she said bc of the taxes. I didn't know the rates jumped to 19% tax. I told her it was wrong and I wanted a receipt. She said only if I paid by card! Wow. The birria plate is 5 stars amazing. The lady that's behind the counter gets no star. She appears to be friendly to everyone under her same ethnicity. She sees me every other week and I get the same dish. Unfortunate she gets it wrong every time ( seem on purpose) as though she doesn't care if I come back. I'm not Hispanic, and neither am I the immigration department. If I didn't love their food so much, I would have emigration over there immediately simply because of her undesirable attitude. Food is amazing! The salsa is HOT but the flavor makes it well worth the pain. The burro was a legit traditional burro with meat, rice, and beans. The tortillas for the tacos were clearly freshly made. The tacos are better than the burros, but the burros are amazing. The service was very friendly and attentive. The staff's English is not great, but was still better than my Spanish. This caused no issues when ordering but may be why people are not getting what they think they are ordering.
