Hola Cabrito — Restaurant in Phoenix

Never have I ever, heard or tried chivo but holy moly. It puts other tacos to shame, I forgot what carne asada is, haven’t had it in months. Since Jennifer, one of the servers at hola Cabrito introduced me to chivo lol this place makes theee best chivo , only reason I know this is cause every dang time I pass by on a Saturday / Sunday the whole parking lot is packed!! And filled with the amazing aroma of chivo .I travel the south Phx a lot I’ve seen birria joints but never with as much ppl like HOLA CABRITO. The staff is very caring to their customers and servers will go above and beyond to meet your expectations , they truly do cherish what they do from preparing their delicious food to serving their customers I am so glad I found this spot!! This place was soooooooo good!!! A little whole in the wall, the best places are. Inside is a little small, came about and hour before closing time and it was pretty open. Ordered the jamaica to drink which was okay. It was more sugar water so it was okay. Then ordered the lb of birria de chivo. It came with 6 tortillas, cilantro, onion, salsa, and lime. The salsa was really good and the tortillas are handmade and were delicious. The birria was really good flavorful ordered it with the fat because why wouldn’t you? The fat is the best part! 🤤 ordered consume con garbanzo, Uggggghhhhhhh so much flavor. Ordered the beans they were pretty good. Not too bad. Overall the place was pretty good. Service was okay. Wasn’t very attentive, had a pretty good attitude. Definitely recommend though. Give this place a try and see...

Husband got half pound with consume. He really enjoyed his plate. Said this place will be on his lunch rotation. Me, I got the vegan jackfruit tacos. They had great flavor, but the texture of the "meat" was a bit soft for me. However, adding all the extras was key to adding some crunch, etc... It's definitely worth a try! And whatever you do dont sleep on the vegan tamales!!! They are SO good, IMHO. It's better than Tuson Tamale company vegan tamales. It's not as spicy as Tuson Tamale, but the flavor, beautiful presentation; and hemp seeds gave a very interesting texture I absolutely love. Really solid tamale!
