if youre looking for your nana’s good home cooking food, this is no the place. the food was absolutely tasteless. not good at all. i asked the server is there any way to sample the chiles prior to make sure its not too hot since practically everything is labeled hot and no refunds. he said no you get what you get. so he recommended the green chile chicken pozole. it was so nasty chicken was so gross i had to remove it just to stand taking a couple bites of the pozole. i had to add so much salt and lemon and it still didnt give it flavor or heat that its suppose to have. even eat my food wasted $16. also they dont have a kids menu so if your thinking about bringing your littles the only kid option they have is a $8 cheese crisp. which your better off paying a dollar more and getting the one the thats a little bigger to save money. the first plate is the adovada burrito dinner. lets just say the beans were great. the rice was hard and if you read the other reviews i guess thats just how they make it. This place seemed more like a bar more than a restaurant, party place the music was great from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. im sure happy hour would be good with no kids and probably just getting an app cause that food was not worth ordering.

I invite my father in law to try this place for the first time. We’ve heard great things about Los Dos Molinos, unfortunately we had a bad experience with the food quality, he originally ordered Chile relleno plate same as me and my daughter ordered soft tacos all three accompanied with rice and beans, on top of that a side of rice and beans for my little one. The rice, was really dry and flavor less, seemed that it was reheated many times, followed by the beans that they tasted very sour, most likely they were spoiled. We asked the server, and he said it was the normal taste because all of the spices they cook them with, then he went to the kitchen and when came back took all of our plates and offer us to order something else. My daughters lost their appetite, and my father in law and I order a burrito, which I will rate 6/10. I was expecting better quality food. So sad we had a bad experience. Unfortunately I won’t plan on coming back. Wasted 50 dollars on horrible food.

Best pitcher of margarita I’ve ever had, and one of the top ten authentic Mexican meals I’ve ever had. It was absolutely bursting with flavor! The salsas are obviously made in-house and are nothing like the food service dreck you get at chains. If you want real heat, you come here. The layout of the establishment is confusing for newcomers, but once you get it, the place is a lot of fun. One thing they could improve on: we had to wait quite a while for our table. That in and of itself is not a problem. No one came over to ask any of us waiting in the wait “hut” if we wanted any drinks. There was a locked cooler of bottled beer and a Dos Equis tap right there, but no one to sell it to us. They could have made a LOT more money from waiting patrons had the hut been staffed, even occasionally. Still though, I will go out of my way to come back here any time I’m in town, and recommend it to anyone I know traveling here.

One star for the ambiance and one star for the Prima Margarita. Now for the important part…

The service was horrible. Our server definitely did not want to be there that day. His “service” was limited to “what can I get you to drink?” “Scan the QR code for the menu” and “are you ready to order?”. Literally. Not another word was spoken to us. He didn’t even address my parents and was only speaking to me. Very strange and disrespectful behavior. He also never confirmed our order, so I was initially brought the incorrect side and had to order again. I had to ask for a plastic cup for my 3yo son, and be literally brought a cup, no lid or straw; I wasn’t aware that I needed to specify that he also needed those things. We were never brought a refill on water and had to flag someone down. No one ever checked on us to see if we were enjoying our meal, or if we needed anything else. The only time someone came back to our table was to clear the plates.

The food was sub par. It’s like they try to cover up the lack of flavor with making it spicy. I looove spicy, but when it lacks flavor, what’s the point? I tried the chicken, ground beef, adovada, and chorizo tacos. The chicken taco was… wet. It’s the only way I can describe it. The tortilla literally fell apart the moment I tried to pick it up. The ground beef had no flavor, so I treated it as a palate cleanser. The other two were just ok.

The check. Going back to my incorrect side - I was brought rice when I ordered fries. Easy mistake in a loud restaurant, so this is why you confirm. But here’s the thing, I should not have to pay for a side when YOU made the error. The side of rice he charged me for was $8. Soooo tell me why, my mom, who also got a side of rice, was only charged $4?!! How can one side be DOUBLE the price of the other - for the same thing?! So when the bill came, we told them to remove the $8 side of rice because we did not order that. We ordered fries (which we were also charged for). Can you guess what they did?! They removed the $4 side of rice instead. We did the calculation ourselves because they refused to bring us another itemized check after the correction. I wonder why…

Such a bizarre experience. Will NEVER go back, and I certainly won’t be recommending this...

I placed two separate online reservations (it only allowed up to 7 people, and I needed a table for 13) and it said someone would be contacting me. The first reservation they canceled, but I was contacted about the second. I told them it would be AT MOST 13 people for 6:45 but weather was impacting a few of my guests travel from the White Mountains. The phone call I received was around 4, and my wedding would be happening between the hours of the call and the reservations. Whoever I spoke to was very rude and said he's not going to make the reservation unless I give him a definitive number and to call back so again, I said, 13! He stated that there were people who had made reservations months and months in advance, and they close at 8 etc etc. which made me believe that our business wasn't of value. So I asked him was he going to take our business or should we go elsewhere. He went ahead and made the reservation after all.

Fast forward....half our party arrived right on time and was met with "you'll all have to fit right there that's the only space we have available " which was fine. Whatever...the other half of our party arrived within 10minutes. 5 of my guests NEVER received drinks, it took 40 minutes for any one to take our orders, the wait for food wasn't nearly as long. However, I did order a margarita when the waitress took our orders and didn't receive it until I asked for it, and even then I was almost finished with dinner. Two of my guest shared a meal and they never brought us an extra plate, even after asking. Service here has drastically gone down hill. The only thing good here now is the food.

Friends and family took care of the bill, and I heard that was another nightmare!

It was disheartening to leave this review, as I've been a lifelong customer of Los Dos Molinos. The old Springerville location holds fond memories for me. I use to frequent the south central location, but after our experience here recently I think I'll spend...

Absolutely terrible!!! Don't waste your time! 0/5 stars. Making a reservation was interesting. The reservation wouldn't go through until we got a call back. When they called us back, they said that there wasn't a reservation available for 7pm but instead for 6:30pm which is totally fine. We got there and got seated. The place is sketchy, but we figured it was a good sign for Mexican...we were wrong. When 7pm came, they were empty. It was only our party and 3 other parties eating. Our server was nice! But was terrible. She brought us drinks the first time and took our food order then we never saw her again. No else checked on us either. The chips and salsa were gross. It is a disgrace to call what they offered as salsa, salsa. Extremely spicy and not in a good way...also disgusting in general. All of our food was extremely disgusting, and over priced. My sister had the chicken taco, and I tried it...spit it out immediately. It tasted bland and like boiled chicken. Actually, boiled chicken would have tasted better. After reading the menu, I didn't order anything because nothing sounded good, and boy am I glad I didn't get anything! When the manager took away our plates, he didn't ask us how we liked it and didn't even acknowledge that all of our food was left on the plate. My father was extremely ticked about the quality of service and food. My grandfather ended up paying for the meal without telling anyone and that's how the restaurant got lucky, because my father wouldn't have paid for anything. Also, the restaurant automatically adds a 20% gratuity to any party of 5 or more and doesn't split checks which is absolutely stupid and ridiculous. When my father complained to the manager, the manager did nothing to fix the problem, just a lame "sorry". Extremely disappointed and we will never return to any location. Please, do not waste your time like we did. I have no idea how this restaurant has such a high rating and such...
