WOW WOW WOW!!! Now, I love donuts. And when I say "love", I really mean LOVE them! But Nichole + Brian and their team have outdone theirselves by crafting such an angelic donut! These magical mochi masterpieces are light and airy, melt-in-your-mouth, and so powerfully delicious with no sacrifice in flavor or delicacy! These will blow your socks off and then some!
As if the donuts weren't enough... their shop ambience is such a vibe and a treat in and of itself! To put it simply: this place feels like "home". From the friendly faces and genuine connections, to the intentional details throughout their shop, this donut ship is tiers above the rest! One of my personal favorite touches are MochiDot's partnerships with local artists. Not only do they feature some of their incredible wares, but each partnership is thoughtfully considered in order to help accentuate their roots here in Phoenix and express their heart for their community. What an incredibly intentional touch!
The verdict is in! MochiDot Donuts: when you're here, you're family. And family that loves donuts together,...
Read moreI finally got to try this place! I was so excited to see a mochi donut place open near where I live and loved the flavors that were being shown on social media. I got 4 donuts of different flavors, strawberry lychee, peaches and cream, churro and ube. We also were offered an explanation and samples from the staff as well. The store is brightly lit and spacious, and they offer drinks and clothing as additional merch. Its more of a pick up and go kind of place, but there is a lovely cafe near by as well as a restaurant if you want to sit and eat your donuts. I'm excited to try the rest of the flavors. The ones I tried, the donuts were chewy and cooked well, the icing melts in your mouth and the flavors are sublime. Take your time chewing as the donuts are made with mochi flour and are different from western donuts. Overall, a cute place with...
Read moreBeing my first time trying a mochi donut, I can say that they were pretty delicious. The people at mochidot were very nice. They also had such nice and clean scenery. And for the menu, they only have a certain number of donuts. But my favorite was honestly the Ube donut. Also, when it comes to flavor, I could taste the ube very well, and it wasn't too sweet. Now, when it comes to texture, since they use rice flour, it kind of a little moist and a gooie texture. So basically, it's kind of similar to a mochi , but more bread type. But, this place was very good and I think it's worth it. And donuts, I believe, start around...
