Update: June 11th, 2019 Culver's still have 5 stars from me. Still excellent. This time I had a coupon for buy one get one free and oh was I excited!!! It was for an entire mean so I have two double bacon baskets. Service was quite fast.
I arrived about 5:40, and was caught off guard with only 4 people being in there. Around 6:00PM was when folks began crowding the place. I was happy for that.
Bathrooms are still well maintained and they had Toy story on the TV. Every adult and child loves that movie. I wish he volume was up but they do have WiFi so I have no complaints.😉😊😋
July 9th, 2017. Excellent place to drop in for a meal. Service was excellent with food coming fresh after 4 minutes of making order. Of Course it is a few more dollars than fast food places but it is also real food! I had a bacon deluxe meal and it was divine! I had an avocado in my purse ( crazy right? :-) and it made a delicious meal even more delicious
The atmosphere is definitely pleasant, clean, and not too crowded and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The bathrooms are clean even though one was a little slow on flush but I figure maybe it is due to an aging building. Not sure but it is well maintained!!!
I have been here before and usually come for the shake so I'm in and out. But today, I dined in and had a wonderful surprise! They have quotes written above all their windows. Some are from the Bible and others from other famous people, even one from Miss Piggy! Lol. I love quotes and I am intrigued by any individual or enterprise who incorporate them into their daily service. It gives one something to think about while there. Loved it!!!
I recommend this place to everyone for its family friendly relaxed atmosphere. The music is loud enough for all to hear but quiet enough to not be disturbing as some other...
Read moreI was really excited to try a new Italian restaurant this past weekend and based on yelp reviews, I decided to go here. We walk in and it has the "family" feel to it - real cozy and quaint. It took some time for someone to even acknowledge us as it seemed like the people that came before us knew the employees/owner. So we sat down and right away, I felt unwelcomed.
Service was slow and it seemed like no one wanted to service us. While we wait patiently for some acknowledgement, water, someone to take our order, etc. We started noticing that we were definitely out of place. My friend and I are in our young early thirties, dressed nice, and ready to take on the night. We look up and everyone (I kid you not) are a lot older, old couples, or friends that are all within the same age group. The employees started coming up to most of them and they were all laughing as if they've known each other for years. Then I realized that I truly do not belong here...
We ordered calamari and the Black Garlic Shrimp & Sausage. The calamari was good. The shrimp and sausage was not. No one even asked us how our food was. It took forever to get our check. No one said farewell to us.
Ambiance is nothing like Federal Pizza, The Parlor, or any other restaurants on Camelback corridor. Moral of the story - if you're older, then maybe you will have a...
Read moreGenerally, I love Culver's. Unfortunately this location, is the first location that I have come across, whose employee's are Not trained in food allergies and how Not to cross contaminate. The manager had no idea at all. The person taking the order at the drive through has no idea how to even enter "allergy" on the order ticket. When food was brought to the car, I first noticed the drinks were incorrect. For our safety I double checked with him for the allergy alert. He did not know anything about it and took the order back. After waiting again, the manager came to the car to explain why Culvers is unable to accommodate but then asked what we would like instead. I requested my money back. Which she provided. And was telling her this is the first time a Culvers was unaware of how to address an allergy alert and accommodate. She walked away. This is unfortunate as we usually eat at Culver's when traveling and at several in the surrounding Phoenix area. This was the first and last time using this E. Camelback location. The Avondale location, on Avondale Blvd, S. Of I-10, "EXCELS" at food safety and customer service, as does the Mesa location, and the northern in state locations ( Prescott and Flagstaff good ole Rte 66). Hopefully this location will understand the seriousness of food allergies and train...
