It's a shame. We come here often (especially since the recent change in ownership) and enjoy the food. Salt and pepper wings are tasty, chow fun solid, and overall good Chinese food in a pinch. Also, no issues with orders and food comes with everything it should.
Until it doesn't. And, unfortunately, when it didn't this one time...well, it was handled poorly. For brevity's sake, they made the wrong order (chow mein instead of chow fun), and that wrong order was made incorrectly (chop suey instead of chow mein). We would have been okay with the chow mein, but chop suey does little to satisfy a noodle craving.
Upon calling and explaining the situation, we were met with defensive pushback (which already projects an inherent distrust among management of their customers) and were then asked to come in to exchange the item for the correct dish and pay the difference. We decided to return it for a refund. Upon arrival, they did notice and acknowledge it was the incorrect item but provided no apologies or claim of ownership for the mistake. In addition, instead of charging it back to the credit card, we were refunded in cash for the exact amount of the item, tax excluded.
Mistakes happen. It's okay. But owning up to them is the difference between keeping a regular or turning them away from you completely. In this case, it's the latter. If you can't run your business with humility, you open yourself up to...
Read moreFive stars, I don’t give that out lightly.
It’s really delicious American Chinese style food, we ordered a quite a few things off the menu, and some that weren’t even on the menu!
Everything exceeded our expectations.
Our order: Appetizers
Pork bbq ribs and tenderloins 5/5 The sauce they both come in is amazing, sweet with a hint of umami.
Lettuce Wraps 3/5 they were good but nothing great, totally edible.
Entrees
BBQ Pork fried rice 4/5 delicious.
Beef chow fun 5/5 perfectly cooked noodles and savory beef in a brown sauce.
Walnut shrimp 5/5 Big delicious shrimp in a white sweet sauce.
General Tso chicken 5/5, we ordered ours with white meat only as the family doesn’t like dark meat so much. It came out great.
And last but not least, We asked the server if they could make us a Beef in Black Bean sauce entree and they obliged. The beef in black bean sauce they made was incredible, some of the best food I’ve had in a while. It had Nice strips of beef, green bell pepper, mushrooms and black beans in a dark rich sauce that you just want to smother over everything else on the table.
I’m not one for praising restaurants but if your looking for some good American Chinese food come down you will not be disappointed.
Also our server was exceptional 5/5 Friendly and quick!
Also if you feel like it I’m only a few likes away from getting another google reviewer badge! Drop a like...
Read moreDebated on posting this. On 11/29 I went to grab some Chinese food. The place was 100% empty except for the employees. I ordered 2 beef lo meins, 1 beef fried rice, 1 chicken in orange sauce, 1 chicken with broccoli and 1 Mongolian chicken. I got my food pretty fast. I counted all my containers are I had 6 big containers and one small container for white rice. However when I got to my house which is in Avondale (I was in that area and decided to stop for Chinese food) I realized my order was all messed up. The chicken and broccoli was not chicken and broccoli it was chicken and vegetables. Still not so bad. But then the next dish I opened up that was supposed to be the Mongolian chicken was a big container of white rice! I was so bummed out. I assumed that they were gonna add a container of white rice with my order but they forgot my Mongolian chicken. I wasn’t going to write a review because I don’t know when I was gonna be in the area again and I doubt I’m going to get my money back from the Mongolian chicken. I guess I should have opened all my containers before going home. However, because there was no one there I assumed they wouldn’t mess it up since it wasn’t busy or the pressure wasn’t on… it was just really disappointing. Especially that I spent nearly...
