My wife and I are so excited to see The Open Door finally OPEN THIER DOORS!
We visited here for the first time on Saturday, September 14 around 4:00 PM. It was a little before peak hours, but we had a great time and we cannot wait to return! 🤙🏻
The steel metal “garage style” building is really awesome and it sets the perfect atmosphere and vibe for hangouts with friends and family. They did a really good job finishing out the inside of the building with corrugated metal, and market lights. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. 👍🏻
Also, they have 5 big screen TVs and the sound system was great. Not too loud to chat, but loud enough to hear - this is a difficult balance to nail and they did it.
Large ceiling fans and large open roll up doors kept a beautiful breeze blowing through and the temperature and moving air was perfect inside.
Pickens and even Easley really needed a place like this and we will be coming back here multiple times each month.
They have four revolving craft beer taps and they had some very desirable IPAs on tap which we were excited to see. Our favorite: Sycamore Mountain Candy is our go-to! 🍻
Although we wish the kitchen had some more substantial food offerings such as burgers and sandwiches, the two food items that we purchased were very very good and we would order again. The Fig & Goat Cheese flat bread was our favorite. Epic huge thick cut bacon chunks on this thing, and the portion size was huge. 🤌🏻
The owner was working behind the bar and he was extremely friendly and carried out all of our drinks and food items directly to our table and engaged with us each time. He’s a really nice guy that I would love to become friends with him. 🙌🏻
I really hope this place thrives, it has everything we want in a relaxed fun place to go get a beer and some food.
Come out here and vibe...
Read moreThs food is really pretty basic and overpriced. The photos of the food they post online and what you get are not the same. We mentioned this to two staff and they just said "ok, we understand". The loaded fries had some cheese, a few green onions and just a couple flakes of bacon. We spent $70 on some frozen fries, frozen chicken tenders and 4 drinks. They say that they are "family friendly" but have no high chairs or kids menu. We were hoping this would be in our rotation of local restaurants, but we won't...

Didn't hurt it was a beautiful night and the cross breeze felt so nice too. =) Lots of tables inside and out, family n doggie friendly, and the folks couldn't be nicer. College games on the tvs, nice beer and wine selection....we enjoyed loaded tots and a huge steering wheel size pretzel. The sauces tasted home made, yum. Relaxing, unfussy vibe. Bathrooms were very clean, plenty of parking. Definitely...
