We stopped at the Wendy's in Pickens tonight. We had several errands to run and decided to pick up something quick and easy, plus the hubs loves Wendy's. We ordered 2 bacon cheeseburgers and 2 chicken sandwiches (light mayo only), a bourbon bacon burger, pub fries and a medium fry, it was repeated back to us not once, but twice. Pull around and pay, the people working were clearly not interested in work but rather playing around, whatever they're young I'm not annoyed yet. The car in front of us is waiting on food, we are then told to pull behind them to wait and 2 more car's are forced to do the same. At 5 minutes waiting I'm still not annoyed, they're busy, it happens, at the 17 minute mark I'm getting there, especially when they send a guy out to run food who just stares at the cars, tells us and the car in front of us he has to back in because "I have no clue who's food I have", he seemed new. He came back with 3 bags and handed it to us and did at least offer an apology for the wait. The annoyed button didn't get hit until we get home and I see a pitiful bourbon bacon burger, (boy that photo staging did wonders for this burger) I guess crispy onions are just raw onions? Maybe 1 "crispy" onion, I will say the sauce I got all over my hand was tasty so kudos there, but the rest of the order, not even close... and I thought the pub fries came with beer cheese sauce (?) not just a big glob of poorly melted shredded cheese, granted a big glob. $22 order of food and the only thing truly correct, was the medium fry. Typically, I wouldn't complain over a one-time fast food incident, (probably not even two) having worked as a waitress myself, I tend to be a smidge more understanding but this has been EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. why repeat the order back twice if you guys are really not paying attention or just don't care seemed to be more the attitude in this particular incident. You're one in a few fast food options in this town, can't you at least pretend to care? C'mon Pickens...
   Read moreWe clarified that the menu was now lunch but the breakfast menu was still up. The lady working said âwell you know what we have donât you? You come here enough.â Actually, no. We NEVER come here so we donât know the menu. She said she isnât able to change it to lunch because she didnât have the stick. Fine. Iâll look it online then. When I ordered an avocado chicken club she looked at me like I was stupid and then looked up and said âwell you can see what we have canât you?â I had to look it up online because she couldnât get the menu switched and was a jerk about it. Then she was a jerk when I did look it up online and someone was able to change it in the meantime, as we waited for several minutes for her to make the previous personâs food. I wasnât told they had switched the menu after being told they couldnât, and spent the entire time navigating the menu online. About 2:25p on 9/12/21 as I pulled in the parking lot I see several of the employees outside looking under a car hood as others were smoking and chasing each other around on the sidewalk. The guy that took my order did so from the sidewalk because he was part of the group. I actually watched him talking into the mic. Went to the window, he makes it back in, takes my card for payment. As I wait I can see through the window that the "party" outside has moved inside. I finally get my food. Get going down the street and find out the fries are literally room temperature. How long have they been sitting out? The burger that I ordered from the guy standing on the sidewalk was supposed to be ketchup only. Guess what, it had everything but ketchup on it.
