A Latte Love Coffee House — Restaurant in Piedmont

This coffee shop has touched my heart! I came in around 10:45-11am after my workout bc I needed some protein and my caffeine fix for the day. I ordered a cold brew with coconut milk, SF vanilla and coconut syrup. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich (bacon egg & chz croissant). When I got home, which is only about 3min away, I took a sip of my coffee and noticed a distinct smell and taste. After a few sips, it tasted like dirt or metal. I narrowed it down to the ice, which I took out and popped a piece in my mouth and that's exactly what it was. I contacted the shop to let them know, bc I would hate for others not to return if they thought it was always like that. The lady who answered was very pleasant and I explained the situation, merely just warning them, and she offered to reimburse me. I absolutely did not expect nor did I want any money back because I was still drinking it. Lol she insisted and within that same day she had refunded me my total, including the breakfast sandwich! This is the best customer service experience I have ever had and will gladly be a returning customer. I frequent this place pretty often because it is the closest coffee shop to me that is consistently open. I’ve always had good experiences with the staff and the drinks, but today was different. Luckily, I had the foresight to check my purse right as the girl taking my order opened the window. Somehow, I had forgotten to put my wallet back in my purse. I told her I would be right back as I don’t live very far, and she offered to pay for my drink! This place is great! They have such unique flavors, like a blueberry crumble latte, which has been my favorite so far after it was recommended by a friend, and they have more sugar free flavors than any shop I’ve visited. But my favorite thing about A Latte Love is that every time I stop by, I leave smiling. The staff is so kind whether you get the owner or another team member.
