I have had a really bad couple of weeks. My job cut our hours, KTH, I was getting 50/60 hours a week and right now we are getting 24. They can't get the chips from China for the cars and we make parts for Honda. I have a wildly good reputation for being kind to people in this town. I was so down about my job cutting my hours and decided to make the best of it. I have a 4 year old so making his day was my motivation. I took him to town today on the bike. I decided to allow him to take a bag of Halloween candy to share at the park. We blew bubbles and played all morning. I have my first grand baby due this month and there's a lot to look forward to in my life right now. On the way home I decided to take Owen to get pizza and visit a new restaurant, I have never been there before. Owen had gum clinched in one hand from his Halloween candy and it had melted in his hand. I went to the Pinhoti pizza restaurant. Ordered an over priced pizza- that frankly I didn't have the money to buy given my current situation at work. Owen was a little excited, but he was so excited about getting pizza. I took him to wash his hands and handed him his drink. As he was trying to get in the chair he dropped the drink. Then older gentleman that was eating saw it and approached me as I was trying to clean it up. Told me not to worry about it he would get me some help. Smiled at us and asked someone to help. i felt really bad, but 4 year olds make mistakes. We were sitting waiting for our pizza and a man walked out and told me I needed to watch my son. They weren't going to have that in their restaurant. I started to chuckle. I thought he was kidding. He gave me a very hateful look and my heart dropped. I said you are joking right. He said no. Still Owen was sitting down. Hearing all this. I asked for a refund. The lady came out from the back and they kept on and on at me. They bullied me so badly that I was in shock. Told me I wasn't watching my son because he had gum everywhere. Owen had not gotten any gum anywhere. I was watching his hands as I was trying to make my way through the restaurant. I told her I had never been treated that way and I couldn't believe what she said. She said I find it hard to believe you haven't been treated this was. This entire time I was waiting on my money. She continued and kept saying how I allowed him to come in with gum all over him. And just kept asking me to leave I had to leave without my money to stop the harassment. I sobbed all the way home. I've never been treated so...
Read moreToday, my husband and I rode our bikes on the Chief Ladiga Trail from Jacksonville to Pinhoti’s and it was completely worth every pedal. The place is very open allowing you to not be on top of each other, while surrounded with cool decor that is relating to all outdoor activities, which I love. Oh, and their map table tops, were pretty cool too. The owner, Kevin, was friendly, inviting and engaging, giving us the interesting history of the place. The staff was warm and friendly as well. Now to the food. We got the Big Foot Supreme pizza and it was delicious. The pizza was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The variety of beers they have was great too. The Beach Cat Blonde was a yummy addition after a 13 mile ride. We live in Moody and will definitely make a drive if not a bike ride back and look forward to it. Pinhoti’s is a super unique, sweet place to experience.

Read moreUnfortunately I waited for almost an hour from order time to get my food. My pizza was incorrect, and it had to be maid over. The staff was nice, but being the end of the night, my pizza had very little toppings. The pizza was pretty plain, and if you don't want the oil spread on your crust and all over, then it's pretty dry and very little sauce. One of the ladies in the back added a balsamic glaze that wasn't on the menu and was aggravating because we had no idea she was going to add something without asking. I think for close to a $30 pizza, you can find a lot better. If you're in piedmont, maybe that's your...
