Shell’s Downtown — Restaurant in Piedmont

A family member is a vegetarian. She ordered cheese fries with no bacon. We spent almost $80 on the whole order. The person who took the order repeated the order back AND the receipt said "no bacon." When we pick up the order, guess what, they were covered in bacon. The server apologized and took them back to the kitchen (we reiterated that our family member was vegetarian). It took about 4 minutes. We got back home and she said they tasted like bacon. The restaurant had apparently picked the bacon off the top but left bacon underneath the cheese. Unbelievable and disgusting to think they were too lazy to cook more and instead dug through her food! The dog got some bacon at least...

This place not for business it a party place for the owners very unprofessional people running it. Food not good at all specially the wings unless you like smoke. If so you may like them. Went with a friend who goes there often was there at 5:30 they basically told us we had to be out by 7:30 should have left then but had drove 20 miles so we thought ok that 2 hours shouldn't be a problem Wrong before we even got started good 6:15 we where approached by I assume the owner telling us the people who had reserved that table where there we had to go. Keep in mind may have been 10 people in the place all who where drinking no one eating they told us to have a seat anywhere he came over by is 3 or 4 times fussing about something obviously he had saved all the tables for his friends. Great food, great atmosphere and friendly service! Live musical performances on weekends. Casual dining during the week and more of a "Night out" atmosphere during weekend nights. I love how during the week you can sit down with your family and enjoy a meal and at night time during the weekend you can enjoy live music, good food and a wide variety of alcohol selections. Staff is super friendly and service is great. More and more people are discovering this hidden gem in Piedmont, Alabama. The building has been renovated and the bar, along with the sitting areas are usually super clean and well maintained. I give this place five stars for the service and friendliness of the staff, the atmosphere, the quality of the food and the alcohol selections. The bar is quite nice as well.
