Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Pierre

This was my second visit to this store: It's just a drive-thru. Nothing special. Nowhere to sit outside. The young help provided very average, typical teen-aged service. I think there were 3 kids working: had to wait until they finished their conversation before I was acknowledged, one was obviously not in a good mood, thankfully the one at the register was pleasant. I ordered a plain iced coffee with cream. The coffee was weak, and I would swear that it wasn't cream but maybe 2%milk put into it. And hardly any of that. I asked for more cream which didn't help. I should have returned it, but I didn't. I ended up throwing half of it out. It was insipid. The day prior, I had gotten a plain iced coffee with cream which was weak also, but creamier. I had also gotten a black iced tea which was very good, not weak nor...

I like strong, strong coffee. I can get a 4 its still not strong enough. I'm convinced I'm charged for the extra shots, but they are not received. I am used to a big city with an abundance of artisan, cuban, any region, pick your bean and they'll roast them up and put your name on it ....the options are endless. I didnt realize how much I missed it until that rant. Sorry!

But I guess I should say thank you for pushing me to learn how to make espresso and how your life can be changed by a milk frother. I'm my own barista now...

I stopped by Scooters and ordered a Marcha Tea Latte and a regular latte both were delicious! The young lady at the counter was super friendly and got my order exactly right. I’m a regular at Scooters, both in my hometown and when I travel, because they’re my go-to coffee spot. While their food is decent, their drinks are truly outstanding.
