Absolutely love The Hen House! From the moment you walk into The Hen House, it just feels like home. Shelly Toombs has created something truly special here in Piggott—a warm, welcoming spot where the food is always made with love and the atmosphere is second to none. The staff is kind, the vibe is cozy, and the food? Unbeatable. I’m especially grateful that they actually burn my hashbrowns just right when I ask them to—it’s a little thing, but it shows they really care about getting it perfect for each customer. Shelly’s heart shines through every part of the experience, and it makes sense—she even owns one of my awesome Aussies, BoBo, so clearly she has great taste in dogs too! 🐾 If you’re in Piggott and haven’t stopped by The Hen House yet, you’re missing out on one of the best meals (and friendliest faces) around. Thank you, Shelly, for making The Hen House such a treasure. Can’t wait to come back again and again!

Absolutely delicious homemade food. Great atmosphere, super friendly staff and a huge selection of dishes. We had a the muther clucker and fried bologna sandwich, as well as the fried pork chops and all were absolutely delicious. We will definitely come back and also check out the breakfast because we have heard great things of it!

This restaurant is very good. It's a small hometown restaurant with amazing food. I got a bacon double cheeseburger. It was huge. I had to eat it with a fork. However, it was delicious. Definitely worth the stop if you visit Piggott, AR!

We have enjoyed the Hen House since moving here. Until today we only had 1 visit that wasn't the best when we got served some very tough hamburgers. Today was HORRIBLE and due to the decline in quality and good service we will probably not be going back. I will start by saying it was lunch and they were fairly busy when we got there but not as busy as previous visits when they were far more packed then. Today we waiting nearly 15 minutes to order. Followed by 57 minutes to be served 3 cheeseburgers. When asked to check on our order we were told "sorry we're really busy but I'll check"

I told the young waitress I understood being busy but why were we seeing other people come in 20 minutes after we ordered, get served before us then watch them pay and leave before our food was served. Her response "well they ordered the special"

I'm sorry but it DOES NOT take a hour to make cheeseburgers. Orders should be filled in order of when given to the kitchen. Not giving family or friends food just because they are. A special still needs to be plated and made. Again 57 minutes for burgers that take no more than 6 minutes to make. We were told after 40 minutes of waiting after ordering they did not have one of the sides ordered. Why in the world would you wait 40 minutes to tell someone you can't fill an order only to bring the food out and then tell a customer you found some of that side afterall

There was no reasonable offer to discount the meal at all. The fried green beans did not get ate since they were HARD as a rock. The pepper jack bites also were like biting into a brick. When there is exploded cheese burned BLACK and crispy a 16 year old would know they are WAY overdone. Two of the burgers were good the 3rd physically looked old not fresh. It was cold, black and extremely stiff. A McDonald's burger would have been better

Maybe there needs to be a focus on the business instead of a new food truck. Along with finding better quality staff that knows how to cook and provide even remotely adequate service. Otherwise maybe either choose what used to be a good restaurant and fix the issues or shut it down to do only...

This place was a pleasant surprise. Really yummy food. We tried the fried chicken salad with wine/cheese dressing, which was delicious. We also tried the Philly sandwich, which had good meat and cheese but needed a stiffer bread. We had the fried cheese balls, which I would highly recommend, since it has pepper jack cheese, making it different than normal with a little kick. We finished the meal with strawberry cake, which was moist and flavorful. Although the server was excellent and prompt, she was doing everything herself: hostess, waitress, server, bus boy and cashier. Since it was busy when we were there, it seemed like she was overwhelmed while running around trying to do everything herself. She did a great job in the situation, but it made it obvious the place was...
