I experienced something like never before today. Kelsey Danyl Roberts, my daughter took me to the doctor in Chattanooga today. We got back to Soddy Daisy and decided to go through the drive thru at McDonalds. Now I love their ice tea and usually get a sandwich and fries, sometimes even an apple pie. Well we pulled up behind the line for the speaker. There was several vehicles in front of us. After 6 or 8 minutes the first car drove around the corner. The next car sat about 5 minutes at the speaker and drove around the corner too. A truck in front of us sat nearly 10 minutes. He eventually drove around the corner as well. It was obvious at that point no one had taken his order. Kelsey pulled up to the speaker. She said hello several times. We thought the speaker was broken. So we went to the first window around the corner where you pay. No one was there either. We could not figure this out. Well, she drove ahead to the pick up window. A very nice lady tried to hand us two milk shakes which we told her were not ours. Kelsey explained that no one was at either window and we needed to place our order there. The lady looked a little uncertain and said she would be right back. She returned and said she was not allowed to take an order at that window. We asked, so there is no way to place an order, although no one is working at those stations? The lady said, "Oh, they are fighting in the back. Been into it all day. Gonna duke it out." By this time we were getting a little disgusted at the whole thing. Kelsey asked why she couldn't place an order there, when no one was at either of the other stations. The lady just repeated, they didn't allow taking orders from that window. Never in my life have i seen such crazy goings on. Read morePoor service, rude staff, and underwhelming is an understatement, even for a McDonald's. I ordered 3 meals and a 20 piece nuggets in the drive-thru, with 2 kinds of sauces. I was asked to pull forward and wait, so I did. An employee brought me the wrong order, so she brought it back in with my receipt to get me the right meal. When she returned my order, she failed to return the receipt. One of the sandwiches was missing, so I had to go inside to get it. I got home only to realize that we were only given a 10 piece nuggets, not 20, and only 1 sauce. The nuggets we had were old and so hard as to be nearly inedible. I returned, simply wanting 20 edible nuggets and the bbq sauce not included in the order. I sent my son to resolve it. He was told it could not be resolved without a receipt, so I entered the store again to explain. The woman with whom I spoke, the manager possibly, listened to me explain the situation and why I couldn't provide a receipt, turned angrily and put a 10 piece nuggets in the bag and turned her back to me as she held the bag out to her side with a huffy, "Here." You know what? I realized it was busy and that mistakes happen, however I was not rude. I didn't cause a scene. I left with 10 edible nuggets and no sauce after the first 4 mistakes without yelling or being rude about any of it, only to have a poor resolution and a bad attitude handed to me for the 5th mistake in one order. What the word???? I made an order, the cashier got it wrong (it's bfest time I totally get it, drive thru is backed up like all get and lobby is totally full) so I'm not mad at all, we're human stuff happens but tell me WHY THIS WOMAN SHAY? SHAE??? DECIDES TO START YELLING AT THIS EMPLOYEE LIKE SHES LESS THAN A GTAIN OF DIRT EXCUSE ME? I've worked fast food before but that woman was terrible, I got my correct order and shay or Shae was still mean to me? What the heck??? Huh??? A good manager or boss or GM teaches, they don't belittle... I wonder how much money and employees this place looses because of this type of person. I felt so for the employee :( they were super nice and patient with me but I'm not coming back with that woman shay or Shae or shaye, totally ruined my experience here.
