This is a comfortable little diner. We were seated quickly and given menus. I was waiting for my son and the waiter gave him a few minutes with the menu after he brought his drink. The food was served quickly and I ordered a dish for take home. I was really underwhelmed with the food. My son had a nice looking burger for $7. It came with no sides on a naked plate. I ordered a Chef's salad without the boiled egg. It was incredibly small, perhaps 3-4 ounce of spring lettuce mix (available at any Walmart), about 4 sliced of grilled chicken breast (looked like John Soules brand), 6 small slices of cucumber, about a 1/4 of nice croutons and a sprinkle of shredded cheese (colby /jack). It also had Dorothy Lynch dressing on the side. This tiny salad was $15.25. I could have bought all of the ingredients from the store and fed my family for that! I ordered a Chicken Fried Steak meal to take home to my husband. It was a good tasting hamburger steak that was lightly breaded. The mashed potatoes were also good. The gravy was almost missing. There was a small bit across the steak and a small bit on the potatoes. The coleslaw side came in a 2 ounce container and was very bland even after adding salt and pepper. There was an older gentleman wandering around. He eyeballed us several times and came and bussed our table once. He never spoke a word or even smiled. I did not feel welcome. I do not recommend...

I ride my motorcycles to diners (cafe in this case) and review them. Greetings from Denver! Today was a perfect day to ride (sunny and 65 degrees) and I could not have asked for a better day. Let's get to the review:
I visited Sadie's Cafe on 4 Jun 22. When I enter, it is one of the cleanest diners/cafes I've been to. The tables and chairs are very clean and show no signs of wear. On the counter, there's a large arrangement of condiments that are lined up as if on display. Their coffee is standard run-of-the-mill coffee; I had no complaints. I got their special of the day which was a smothered burrito with home fries (pictured) and a cinnamon roll. The burrito was amazing! The green chili smother was mildly spicy with just a little bit of kick, but nothing that most couldn't handle. I throw some pepper on the home fries and no ketchup. They were awesome. They were a perfect consistency for me. Not burnt and not mushy, just right in the middle with wonderful crispiness. I also got their cinnamon roll. They are made in house as well as their cream cheese icing. It was by far the best cinnamon roll I've had in a long time (to be fair, I don't eat many in my day-to-day life). I had such a great experience. I highly recommend coming to eat at Sadie's Cafe. I would...
Read moreThe service was perfect, and helpful. The food was wonderful, and filling portions. The restaurant itself with staff all together is a cute little place that makes you feel welcome when it is obvious that the locals don’t recognize you. Heads may turn, but maybe it is because the locals worry this place will get talked about so much that people will travel far and wide to experience the good food, and company of Sadie’s. Even if you draw the attention of the locals they are still helpful, and kind. Just like the people working here. The cinnamon roll is an experience itself, but really you can’t go wrong. All of the food is tasty, and we never left anything but empty plates all around, and a generous tip in gratitude of our time at Sadie’s. Try it! You won’t be...
