Only leaving one star because:
-Owner made fun of me in front of my friends when I said I didn’t eat animal products and wondered what was available. It was not just one remark but a string of them.
-The vegetarian (vegan) option was bad- it was a bowl of over-salted grilled vegetables with grilled watermelon in it as well. I ate the whole thing because we I had just run 25 miles and was starving. When the owner asked me what I thought of it I was honest and told him it was not good. The only saving grace was the baked potatoes.
-When I went to pay, the owner pulled up his machine which had all the prices listed. It said “Vegetarian $20.” The owner tried to charge me $37 but I questioned it, saying that his price list says $20 for Vegetarian. He hesitated and said that all the entrees are full priced and that the $20 Vegetarian is only if you get the measly buffet selections which could not possibly amount to a meal for anyone (potato chips, melon, lettuce and a few sauces). I think bread and their sliced little sausages would’ve been included in the $20 too but neither of those are vegan. He then said, okay- I will give you a 10% discount and then he charged me $34.
$34 for: lemonade, a bowl of disgustingly seasoned vegetables, a couple baked potatoes, some chips, melon and lettuce.
Will NEVER come here again. Don’t make fun of your guests, or if you are, you should be the one paying them as an apology. You’re awful.
Would it be so hard to grill a block of tofu or have some vegetarian baked...
Read moreI picked this place primarily because it was listed as 'dog friendly' on Bring Fido, but I would gladly eat here again without pups. The food was very good with its limited menu size, with the beef cooked to order and very flavorful. The help-yourself salad, fruit, and homemade chips were all fresh and flavorful, with a variety of sauces to sample. The grilled veggies that came with the main meal were amazing. Both the brownie and the lemon bar desserts were fantastic. It's BYOB, but they also have water, tea, and lemonade available with your meal.
The place is outside under a tent at picnic tables, so it was easy to pick a spot along the outside with our pups, both German Shepherds, to eat so that we wouldn't be in the way. Being outside also allowed us to set up waterbowls and some butcherbones for our pups so that they could calmy and quietly enjoy dinner as well. There was a few cornhole game stations set up, and plenty of running around space which folks with small kids were able to take advantage of and let them run off their steam.
The staff was wonderfully friendly, attentive, and helpful, and more than a little engaging if you wanted to chat. I highly recommend this spot if you're in the area, especially if you have...
Read moreTook our visiting family here, we drove in from Star Valley, Wy. Worth the drive, worth the price, don't even think twice, just go.
Food was outstanding!! The steak was cooked perfectly, the chicken had this seasoned outer layer that was crisp and delicious, while the inside was juicy and tender, dipped in their Curry sauce it was perfection! The fried onions were sweet and crisp, so good!! All baked potatoes should be cooked in a vat of oil. We also loved the Sriracha sauce if you like some heat get this one, and the bbq sauce was excellent as well.
The service was attentive, friendly, and fast. The chef made sure that everything was to our liking, and he personally spoke to us to make sure we were happy and satisfied.
