We absolutely loved our stay at the Jackalope!

  1. CLEAN AND REMODELED - THE cleanest and most modern room we stayed in during our whole two week road trip. Loved the design and simple homey touches. We dared bring our 11 month old with us and the room had plenty of room for the pack n play and we never feared letting her play in the room (unlike so many other hotel rooms).

  2. LOCATION - Yellowstone and Jackson Hole get all the love in the area, but the cute little town of Pinedale was perfect. Big enough to have everything you would need, small enough to still feel like a retreat…and the mountains, the views, Fremont lake, and LOADS of beautiful hikes just up the road in the Wind River Range AND the Jackalope is right by it all. Next door to a grocery store and a few short blocks from some great coffee shops and restaurants.

  3. FAMILY OWNED - I’m not going to lie, we often look over places like this, but don’t! The owners are an awesome younger couple who put so much love and energy into this place and have a great knowledge of Pinedale and the area. Super helpful, kind, and awesome.

If you’re staying in the area, forget the Best Western and others down the road. Stay here. You won’t regret it!

Side note: for smaller family owned places like this, book direct and skip the middle man of orbits/booking/etc. It’s super easy and helps them...

5 stars, and you know what? I saw a review below that stated they were excited to leave their review, and I feel the same way. what a nice family & nice family owned place!

I was pleasantly surprised: fairly priced, great location, & stylish!!!

I’ve been coming to Pinedale from Jackson Hole for staycations for 7yrs & I haven’t really been back in 3, but I finally found a hotel that’s made the drive feel worth it again & this will definitely be my new go-to! I’m excited to be back more often to enjoy the town.

& speaking of town: If you’re like me, you like breakfast, which no there is none at The Jackalope, BUT it IS conveniently located just minutes (like, literally under 2 minutes) from plenty of places to dine & even walk to! OR if you’re also like me & just on the run sometimes, they do offer coffee at your disposal in the lobby!

It is truly a gorgeous, safe, & comfortable stay; I did NOTTTTT want to rush back to Jackson the next morning. Typing this from my place IN downtown Jackson is actually making me wish I was there NOW, lol! I’m so excited to have found it.

Thanks, Jackalope! I’m definitely getting...

Our daughter found this place on a route from Colorado back to Washington State where HOME is. We stayed in many hotels and motels high end and lower end. This is an unassuming lower end type motel, but does not reflect anything lower and whatsoever. Rooms were clean efficiently Designed and configured bathrooms were clean, great aesthetics and toiletries and sinks and showers, etc. Check-in was as simple as any property I’ve ever stayed at as it was associated with my personal identification number, and everything was terrific. The only downside were some of the neighbors who were unruly late into the night. After reaching out to the owners, they proactively took action to ensure our customer satisfaction would ultimately be a five and it is. I would highly recommend this place over any other accommodation in this little wonderful town. We will stay here again if ever going through. Again highly recommend this property oh and did I say they had some amenities outdoors for our dog? I noticed they had an outdoor shower so I took the opportunity to scrub her down real Quickin the 85° weather it...

No A/C! Coming from a place where central air is everywhere I was surprised to walk into a place with no air conditioning in the heart of the summer. Not a thing was stated on their website about no ac either (I even went back and checked because I wouldn’t have even looked at a place with no a/c). It was 80 degrees inside and out. A fan was provided thank god and it was somewhat cool at night but thermostat never read below 75 in the room. The room decor was really nice and you could tell the place had been newly refurbished. The beds were a bit firm but tolerable and clean. We stayed in room 11 and the door wouldn’t seal completely. It was either warped or kicked in at one point so there was always visible light coming through. The check in process was seemless. It was nice to have a code to get into the room but the complete contactlessness wasn’t super great. Since we weren’t from there it would have been nice to stop at the front desk and get recommendations for shops/restaurants/things to do/etc. Overall it was a nice place but probably would never stay there again.

We were passing through on our way south from Yellowstone and booked this place based on the reviews we saw online - they weren't wrong. It's a recently-renovated motel with a fresh, clean, modern vibe. Our room was spotless, stylish and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and there was a good selection of TV channels on offer. The couple who run it are very helpful and pleasant and they offer great free coffee in reception as well as a range of burgers and steaks for purchase to barbecue on the grille outside. If you don't fancy cooking for yourself, Pinedale has a range of cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from - we ate really well at the brewpub along the road. As a stop on the road to or from Yellowstone, the Jackalope can't be beaten!
