Daysi's Taqueria y Mariscos — Restaurant in Pittsburg

Great food, have been a customer for years. However recently, I noticed the employees are running some sort of scam/malpractice routine anytime you order a drink of horchata. They'll prepare and have the drink ready, or sometimes not, then give you the order with bill. When you ask "okay, and my drink?" They give a various answer of "oh, I made it and it's right here but I didn't charge it on your bill. I'm going to have to run your card again." None of it makes sense, and if you ask how and why that happened they just freeze and stumble for an incoherent answer . A man also did the same thing to me, however he didn't have the drinks prepared like this one lady did. The entire atmosphere and conversation always quickly changes to red flag/caught in the act/scam. This has happened to me multiple times now and it's just extremely off-putting and frustrating. Absolutely horrible. Upon paying at the register I was informed that the menu had changed and all items were $2 greater and my little girls was $4 higher. Okay that's fine but the cashier added my total up and told me that the total was $38 when I added up and showed him on my phone that it was only $28. So I was charged an extra $18. Had to get the waitress's attention twice to get drinks refilled and also had to ask for my ticket when we were sitting there for 10 minutes waiting after our meal. Very horrible customer service considering we were the only group in the diner. Three of the employees were sitting up front one was sleeping one was on the phone and one was watching TV. Will not go back to this establishment and I highly recommend that no one visits them as well not very customer-friendly at all. If I could give less than one star trust me I would I would actually prefer giving them a -5 star if that...

Word to those scrolling for a bite to eat. This is a place to consider for Mexican food in Pittsburg. If anyone were to ask me were to go for a bite to eat in Pittsburg, Daysi's the first place I name.

The place doesn't look all that great but, the food makes up for what they are lacking in decor. 👍🏽

I normally really enjoy my food. I usually order togo. Food is authentic and the burritos heat up well the next day of ordering.

4 stars because I was told at the front desk that my sandwich would not come with any sauces. I should have checked my order before I left (my fault...I was too hungry). As you can guess I got home and there was a white sauce on my sandwich. Could have been mayo could have been sour cream and butter. I don't know. Word to those with food allergies and my peeps with limited sauce palates (me) check before you leave.
