Dirty hole in the wall to say the least, first thing they have ins-cents lit so your cigarette or cigars taste like Muslim oils 🤮 secondly the curly head young boy is always on his phone and acts like your a inconvenience as a customer he has a very poor attitude with a side of bad customer service and he doesn’t know how to communicate well with his target customers, the food is terrible 😞 you can ask for well done or fried hard and it will come out soggy with no seasoning on the actual food just this dust (They do not season the meat) the fish was super bland just breaded fried and topped with a dust, there’s a dirty chair in the corner that’s it so don’t expect to walk into a nice restaurant because you will be sadly mistaken, that case that has food in it on display with no dates or sell by date it looks dirty and not kept at the correct temperatures, and the entire back of the restaurant is blocked by dirty sheets and you can’t see the cook back there cooking sweating with no hair net or gloves and sweating all over your food. They overcharge for everything and they are overpriced and trying to take advantage of the community. They don’t even know if they use peanut oil or a blend etc!! So if you have a nut allergy you can be really screwed. Save your money and don’t eat or buy from them. Today was the last straw I had to speak my truth as I’m truly disappointed and let down for the 4th or 5th time. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but never again I’d go with out before I ever give...

I have thoroughly enjoyed this place and its food in the past, but unfortunately since the transfer of ownership and management, the quality in the food has dropped gradually. Order included mac and cheese bits, that were hard and mushy, yes, the breading was dated and the mac and cheese was over cooked. The catfish was over cooked and dry...with grease trapped between the breading and the fish. Fries heavy and filled with the fish grease (awful, awful taste). This place on Benton Avenue (Brighton Hgts.) used to be a family Friday night "go to" for dinner especially after an intense 2.5 hrs of ball. This location has lost its focus on what's important and that's quality food for this community and for those who drive a distance on the basis on past reputation. Would love to see this place do a quality control turn around. Until then I'm sure I will not be craving over greased, overcooked, under qualifying food. I got the 2-item combo with catfish and chicken tenders. Ordering online was painless, as was the pickup.

The chicken tenders were delicious! They were big and meaty and the batter crust had a nice peppery flavor. I loved the fries, too. The catfish I wasn't crazy about. It was well cooked, but that cornmeal it was encrusted with didn't have much flavor. It could have used some seasoning or something. The bread that came with the combo was literally just a slightly toasted (barely singed) slice of white bread. Not sure why they bothered to include it.

All of the food was well-cooked. It wasn't excessively greasy or dry, just tender and juicy as it should be. Even though the catfish didn't thrill me, I'd definitely order the chicken tenders again. They have other kinds of fish I'd like to...
