Steel City Sports Bar & Grub — Restaurant in Pittsburgh

There aren’t enough words to describe just how HORRIBLE this place is after new ownership. However, I will attempt to keep things short in this review. “Rumerz” has been a staple in my life - used to be an awesome bar with an incredible friendly staff, amazing (speedy) service, & overall top notch atmosphere. Now that the name has changed and new owners took over, it is the complete opposite and honestly disturbing to witness. The BIGGEST issue would have to be the customer service and bartenders!!! Can you believe that? At a BAR!!! They are RUDE, CONDESCENDING, UNPROFESSIONAL & the worst part .. SLOW AF. I’ve never seen such a thing in the service industry. On a slow night, there is no reason anyone should have to wait 1hr+ to be served a drink - it almost appears as if they don’t serve you because they simply just don’t feel like it .. just lollygagging behind the bar, no urgency, no care, no hustle. These bartenders should be replaced asap because there is no doubt in my mind they are the reason this place is losing business. Upon saying something to one of the bartenders about waiting .. their response was “you need me, so you’ll wait” .. unbelievable. This would have never been acceptable at the old Rumerz and it’s very disappointing. My advice to the owner: tighten up & pick better people to work on your team. You’re doing a disservice to the north side and the reputation of the bar having these kind of people represent...

Every time I’ve been to Steel City Bar and Grub while under this new ownership, I’ve left none other than underwhelmed. The food is below average and the bartenders do not know how to handle even the smallest crowd. I went last night and the two women behind the bar did not know how to serve and take orders efficiently. My friend and I waited an hour between ordering before getting acknowledged. We got their attention and would be told “one second” but only to never be acknowledged again. It got so bad after being told “one second” and witnessing the bartender serve multiple people who sat down after us, we decided to leave. I could understand if it was a busy night but there were about 15 people standing around the bar! It was a waste of a night and I’m very disappointed. The Rumerz I knew would never! It almost seems like they are working to upset the customers rather than keep them satisfied. It’s very backwards and I left confused more than anything because I’m not sure what kind of establishment is being ran here but it certainly is NOT a “Sports Bar” like the...

Easily the worst bar in the city. Service is slow be ready to wait 10-20 minutes for a drink. Too many rules you can’t use the same card twice and if you wanna start a tab you gotta spend $10 minimum. Since when is there a minimum on tabs? And let’s get to the best part my aunt started a tab and some random guy at the bar told the bartenders that his drinks were on her tab and these clowns put his drinks on her tab without even asking her THEN tried to argue with her and still make her pay the tab with the said drinks the random guy added on there.
