If you’re craving a pizza experience that delivers pure joy with every bite, look no further than Aurelio’s Pizza in Plainfield. This place isn’t just a pizzeria—it’s a delicious trip down memory lane for anyone who grew up with the iconic South Suburban staple. And let me tell you: it’s just as phenomenal now as it was then.
From the very first slice, I was reminded why Aurelio’s has always been in a league of its own. The crust? Perfection. That same golden, slightly crisp, yet tender crust that has stood the test of time. It hasn’t changed a bit—and thank goodness for that. The toppings, sauce, and cheese are in perfect harmony, creating a balance that’s hard to find anywhere else. Each ingredient shines without overpowering the others, proving that Aurelio’s has truly mastered the art of the pizza.
The vibe at the Plainfield location is everything you want in a hometown pizzeria: cozy, inviting, and family-friendly, with a staff that goes above and beyond. They’re warm, attentive, and genuinely happy to be part of your dining experience, which makes a big difference.
Bottom line? Aurelio’s in Plainfield is still the best pizza around. Whether you’re a longtime fan from the south suburbs or a newcomer looking for your go-to pie, this is the place to be. It’s more than just a meal—it’s a slice of tradition, served up with love...
Read moreFirst, I love Aurelio's Pizza - it's my personal favorite. I grew up on it at other locations in Chicagoland. And I will continue to be a regular customer. In addition, Joe, the owner at this location is a great guy. I highly recommend their pizza.
Now my only complaint ever... and it seems to be a common theme in reading other recently posted reviews. The issue is EMPLOYEE ATTITUDE!!! In my case, an employee named Reese who came across as an "enforcer in power" rather than a customer-centric employee when I stopped by to pick up my order yesterday. I walked into the restaurant that had numerous patrons seated and eating inside. I asked for my take out order. Reese turned it into a stare down over the "pre-orders must be picked up at the drive-thru". When I asked why, she said it was because the register at the counter did not work. I asked about her just ringing it up at the register that was 10 feet away, she said she CAN'T. We argued and stared back and forth and she refused to budge. For crying out loud, I was already in the restaurant and ready to pay. What a disappointing experience. I guess Reese won, I had to go back to the drive thru and wait in line. Joe, please work with your staff on being more courteous and understanding. She left a very bad taste in my mouth. But the pizza was...
Read moreMy family and I have lived in Plainfield for 20 years and it was only a couple days ago we frequented Aurelio's for the first time... I had a HUGE craving for a pizza. I have to say the restaurant on Wallin was a wonderful surprise! The restaurant itself had a very nice decor and the waitresses we're exceptionally attentive and very friendly. As for the pizza it was AWESOME! We ordered a fiesta size thin crust with meat ball, Italian beef, sausage, green peppers and onions....heaven. Their thin crust is perfect, I loved the flavorful sauce, and the thing that made me sooooo happy is the next day reheating in the oven the crust is as crispy as it was in the restaurant. I think it actually tastes even better, I love a pizza that tastes great when reheated, usually the texture of the crust is not the same. We discovered they have a nice little buffet on Tuesdays which includes fried chicken meat balls and pasta, 5 different pizzas, desert and drinks my wife and I are going to be going back for that. I highly recommend Aurelio's if you live in the area and are looking for a nice night out and...
