We had butter chicken, lamb seekh kebab, chicken 65 biryani, garlic naan and butter naan.
All good stuff overall and worth trying. This place opened up where the Delicia Mexican Grill used to be. it’s only been here since late 2023 and definitely deserves your support so go check it out. You will not be disappointed overall 👍

If you compare the food here to the food on Devon Street in Chicago it would not be fair because there’s just so much variety and so many expert Indian and Pakistani cooks so I won’t make that comparison and try to be fair.
If you’re familiar with the taste of butter chicken in Pakistani restaurants, this is not the same. This is the Indian version. Your mileage may vary, but I prefer the Pakistani version much more. In the Indian version, the gravy is not as thick and chicken is a bit chewy and tastes like tofu for some reason. Not saying the dish was not tasty, it was just not what I’m used to with the Pakistani style butter chicken.
The lamb seekh kebab was very good. However there were only six small pieces on the plate as you will see in the picture. I think the price for this should’ve been close to $12 and not the $20 we paid for this dish.
The chicken 65 biryani was pretty good in taste and served in a very nice fancy bowl. Great presentation.
They have a buffet every day between 11 AM to 2:30 PM. $15.99 on weekdays and $19.99 on weekends. If you want to see what’s on the menu in the buffet, check out their Facebook page.
One more thing to keep in mind: that they are...
Read moreDISCRIMINATING! Yes, you heard that right. If you don’t speak Marathi they would just shut the phone on you! I would never recommend this place to anyone!
We moved to Plainfield recently and this restaurant showed up in the search for an Indian restaurant near by. However when we called, a lady picked up the call and her attitude and words were all equally humiliating and disappointing. She went on talking to me in Marathi and when I said I don’t understand/talk marathi her response was “I just heard you talking in Marathi”! It didn’t stop there.. She just hung up the phone on me. After a while I called again asking for the manager, she picked up again and was totally hesitant to give the phone to the manager.
However I persistently asked for speaking with the manager and after a short wait the manager came to the phone and introduced himself as Kiran. And he heard what I had to say and apologized on behalf of the lady.
Isn’t it mere common sense that if I knew Marathi I would not have hesitated to communicate in that language?
While I understand that the restaurant floors can get really busy, this kind of discriminatory attitude should never...
Read moreI ordered the Tandoori Chicken, and I loved that it was made with dark meat. It was perfectly seasoned—not too spicy—while being incredibly moist, juicy, and tender. Absolutely delightful!
I also tried the Aloo Gobhi vegetables, which are usually prepared with dry seasoning. Since I prefer a curry flavor, the manager, Anand, went above and beyond to customize it for me. He added a curry seasoning to complement my rice, and it was nothing short of amazing.
The garlic naan bread was another highlight—fresh, flavorful, and the perfect accompaniment to the meal. They absolutely nailed it!
The customer service was outstanding. Anand not only offered me some tea while I waited but also patiently went over the menu with me. I never felt rushed, and his attentiveness made the entire experience even more enjoyable.
This place truly exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely be returning. If you’re looking for authentic Indian cuisine with exceptional service, Imperial Indian Kitchen...
