Music Lady Cafe — Restaurant in Plainfield

The bartenders are nice, BUT the cocktails aren’t great by any means, being inside the establishment feels like being in someone’s outdated basement den, the crowd is very local/mostly regulars and therefore not very social or friendly toward newcomers, and with only two ancient window unit air conditioners it’s hot, humid, and uncomfortable inside. There was a DJ playing music, performing karaoke, and offering guests to sing as well. The singing wasn’t bad at all, but the DJ was a little out of touch. She mostly selected outdated pop hits that I can only describe as “cheesy”. It would have been much better if they cut out the DJ altogether and just let guests select and purchase songs on the TouchTunes. We stayed for a few drinks, only because our go-to, Happy Jack’s, was closed for vacation.. We cut our night short because of how disappointing it was becoming. After warning the bartenders a fight was about to start and begging them to kick the instigators out they ignored me. Eventually a fight may or may not have left the property I genuinely didn't see I was blamed and kicked out. The "bouncer" threw me off the property a d banned me for some reason in manner so aggressively that it very easily could have turned my calm deminor even though I was absolutely over served and intoxicated, into a aggressive encounter. Even when I left property and calmly awaited a dd I was persued by the older gentleman taking pictures and peeling out away from my vehicle. Went there to play pool. Decent tables, but the sticks provided for the patrons need to be better and they have no hand chalk. The cue ball got stuck in the table once and the employee had no qualms about getting it unstuck. They had live music there that night (which I'm sure is almost every night when you consider their name), and they were really good. All-in-all the experience was good and I wouldn't mind...
