Bakery Delite — Restaurant in Plains Township

My mother usually calls up and pre-orders a bunch of bagels to last her a while I'm not very much of a bagel person myself, so I didn't understand the hype until yesterday I was in the area for my cats vet appointment and I figured I would drop by for my mother (I went through the drive-thru which is very VERY convenient I love that they have a drive through considering my son is handicap so it could be kind of difficult to get him in and out and the lady that helped me was VERY nice) I was running around all day I was hungry and didn't feel like cooking so I tried one of the plain bagels that I got for my mother and oh my gosh. Never have I ever tried a plain bagel with plain cream cheese ( got the cream cheese from Dunkin donuts)and thought to myself "I could eat this almost every day of my life if it wasn't so unhealthy" It's so delicious! I don't know if it was just a good batch that I got, but the bagels are very very soft almost to the point where it's gooey but they are completely 100% cooked. And oh my gosh, just the best bagel 🥯 I have ever had in my life. I have been in the building before with my mother and it's not always friendly people working but when I went through the drive-thru yesterday morning, the lady that was working was very friendly. I've also seen a few reviews about how they will ignore you on the line and we have experienced that once or twice so I totally understand that some workers are not extremely friendly but yesterday was a great experience. I went to the drive-thru twice and I will say that the second time around it took a while for someone to come to the window. So this rating kind of had to meet in the middle, I have had several items from here and all of the baked goods are 5star, I have yet to have anything that wasn't delicious. . .but the staff service is more 2 star to me. I went in today and was waiting about 2 feet away from another women who was there before me for I don't know how long before the minute I was also there before someone bothered to come over to the counter to assist. I then watched as she checked the first women out, then called for someone at the far end of the counter to come help, then proceed to go straight to the other women who had just stepped up to the counter that moment and let the other person come over to wait on me who she clearly saw waiting there first but never even bothered to look directly at me. I have only been waited on by 1 person there who was genuinely pleasant and polite and she was 1 of the younger members if the staff, probably around my age which is late 20s, the rest of the staff (40s ish) all seem annoyed with me like I'm bothering them and I have seen them be more pleasent with older customers in line ahead of me on other occasions as well. Whether this women was offended by my lip ring or something else about me, which is extremely closed minded these days as well as horrible customer service, either way is ridiculous everyone deserves the same amount of respect regardless if they are 20, 80 or bright freaking green....I think I'll be looking for somewhere else to take me...

I have been here before and ordered goodies from the display cases. Last week, I needed a birthday cake for my wife. It was our first, but not last time special ordering from them. I called on Thursday for a next day pick up. They said no problem. I ordered her favorite, vanilla cake with raspberry filling and buttercream icing. When I opened the box, I was blown away. It was beautiful and cutting into it, I was pleasantly surprised to see 3 layers of cake and 2 thick layers of the most delicious filling. It was the best cake I have had. Even non dessert people had to "try" a piece. Not only did they try it, they ate the whole thing. It was the talk of the night. My mother-in-law, a self proclaimed cake aficionado was impressed and she eats a lot of cake. Most of all, my wife was very happy. Thank you very much. I highly recommend Bakery Delite. ...
