Malacari’s Ice Cream — Restaurant in Plains Township

I wish I could give more stars as we usually never have issues. First, no cup holders is tough when you have a larger order. Maybe lids could help? My advice would be to use a larger cup and under fill it to meet the size ordered if you can't figure a solution out. That way, people will not have to scrub drips and sprinkles out of our cars. We were handed larger cups but no offer to help figure it out. Second, if you are on a register, you should have basic math down and people skills. We were just hustled on. We tipped still but it's ridiculous how we were treated. This is why we stopped going to the Edwardsville one too. I'm surprised as we've never had problems in the past at ANY of the other businesses (other than mentioned above). Small businesses generally like to have customers... I really love Malacari's ice cream!! 🍦🍧🍨The Plains location is one of my favorite s because they have a drive thru (so does the Hanover location) and I think the palm tree deco is a nice touch along with the bright colors of the building. However, it might do them well to pave the parking lot 🤔 Other than that I think it's a really awesome place 😀 The ice cream choices are vast and ice cream & toppings are delicious 😋 They now have edible cookie dough available in several flavors (even cake flavor!) 🎂 Also, they now have ice cream nachos which are waffle cone dippers you can dip in peanut butter sauce. The service has always been good too! The kids are friendly and helpful. Lastly, I like that they participate in the Luzerne County Ice Cream...

I love their ice cream, and if it was just the ice cream, I'd give it 5 stars. I went yesterday 15 minutes before close and waited as the blonde girl sat, flirted and made plans at the window as we waited for over 10 minutes. When we got to the drive through counter, I asked if what kind of soft serve they had and she read the list to us. I asked for peanut butter and she said hold on. And asked the girl behind her. She said, "wait what?" And then the blonde said, "I'm sorry but it looks like we are out". The girl didn't answer her and she lied right to our faces. This is the 2nd time she had done this to us. Why say you have something, not check, and lie about it. Because of that employee, I will not go to this...
