Food was ok here. Loved the chips. Did not care for the salsa. Not much cheese on the burrito...had to send it back to get more. The sauce for the wet burrito was pretty good. Would be nice if they had some mild and hot sauces on the table for use. The veggies on the plate were nice and fresh. The waiter gave excellent service. Brought me some hotter sauces that they make. Those were pretty good. Couldn't order off the 11-3 lunch menu because they didn't open until 3. There were suppose to be beans on my burrito and there was not. The waiter did bring me some with some rice. The beans were very runny and had a gritty taste to them. The rice had a nice color but not much flavor. Would have been nice to have some onions and tomatoes to add some flavor. Not much cheese on the beans. Burrito came out very hot. That was nice. I thought the Alacarte burrito was over priced. Didn't feel I should have been charged for the beans when they were suppose to be on the burrito. All the staff was very nice. The restaurant was very clean. I might go back I'm not sure yet. If not I will drive all the way to Kzoo to Los Amigos. They have the best...
Read moreThe good: Super friendly staff, nice looking restaurant, chips taste homemade , drink variety is plentiful, enjoyable music/atmosphere.
The bad: The salsa and the food. It’s sad when we have to ask for salt, ground pepper, and their “hottest” salsa to get SOME flavor in the meal. The salsa tasted like unseasoned watered down tomatoes.
The price is not justified for the poorly made food that you get.Their website claims homemade, fresh ingredients , and tastes like you are in Mexico.Based on my experience tonight, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. The food abhorrently disappointing and not traditional in the least bit. Taco Bell has tastier food.
I think I’m very generous with my 2 stars and honest with my review.
Advice to restaurant : Simplify your menu and focus on quality!! Teach your chefs a thing or two about seasoning. This will make your...
Read moreBeautiful looking inside and fast service! downside was i ordered take out and didn’t get my shells. ordered the molcajete and the juices didn’t adhere to the food inside of it so it did lack flavor along with the cheese only being partially melted onto the steaks. The nachos trios was very good though. the only downside of that was the shrimp tasted as if it was microwaved and was rubbery. the salsa also tastes like a spaghetti sauce. also only half bag of chips. they were the best chips i’ve had phenomenal job on that. the menu is also exactly the same as casa real. just two different styles of cooking/preparing the food itself. the price tag on the meal does not reflect the quality. but thank you for bringing another mexican restraunt into town and i look forward to trying...
