Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Platteville

Food was good, pretty standard for Jimmy John's, but the girl working there Monday afternoon could smile occasionally, especially when an elderly woman compliments her (but she DID say thank you, so kudos for that), and the guy with the snake tattoo doesn't need to correct how a customer pronounces "Cubano", which was said the correct way for a native Cuban by the way, over and over. Once, ok. But not three times. Not everything is how it is in tiny city, USA surrounded by corn, kid. There's a big world out there. Get to learning. The Latino guy working there was EXTREMELY nice and polite, and knew how to engage in friendly small talk. A refreshing change from the generation Z awkward smarmyness and lack of ability to be happy while at work, like it's slavery...

Have always loved going here but it seems lately the quality and attention to detail is lacking. Multiple times we have customized our subs and not received what we asked for, which is extremely frustrating when you pay extra for it. If you ask for extra anything you'll get the normal amount. Also, I've waited for half an hour for one sub and the same for two subs both at a non busy time of day on two separate occasions. Unfortunately there's no way to rate individual orders on the app so I can't tell them what was wrong with each order unless I call. I can't say they're moving in a good direction, and would not recommend eating there unless they're the only ones open. You'd be better off waiting for Domino's, it'll take just as long for you to...

I visited Jimmy Johns today in Platteville. I ordered A #12 UNWICH. I told order taker Ada that I can't eat cheese so could I have extra avocado in place of it. She said yes. As I watched a fellow making it , he put the small amount of avocado ( looked like the amount you would use compared to buttering a slice if bread) on the skimpy slices of meat. I reminded that I was supposed to get extra avocado. The girl working next to him literally grabbed it away from him and finished assembling. It was the most disgusting looking mess id ever seen. Stuffing was coming out the end. THEN ON TOP OF THAT THEY CHARGED ME 75 Cents extra for what was supposed to be in place of the cheese which I can't eat. After this experience I will NEVER GET FOOD...
