Outstanding restaurant and true asset to this community! A spectacular fresh home cooked meal that's worth the wait! The waitress and service were wonderful! The food was great and at a perfect temperature! The menu is vast and impressive! Each meal was large and well worth the price! There is plenty of seating and lighting throughout! Impressive to say the least! Friendly small town and crowd that frequents this establishment! The next time we're passing thru, we'll stop for another terrific meal! Thank you all for a great visit!

Went for the first time with my husband for brunch. Our server was spectacular and helped us decide on pie flavors. Those are not to be missed! We got a slice of pecan and chocolate peanut butter. The portions were sizeable, homemade and soooo delicious!! The breakfast items were also scrumptious, the coffee fresh and hot, and the biscuits and gravy are made from scratch and oh-so good. We left very full and are looking forward to our next trip to Pleasant Hill to try their lunch items, and of course more pie.

We went here on a Sunday journey for lunch. All I can say is we'll be making the trip regularly from Louisburg, KS just to eat here! My wife had the giant pork tenderloin and I had all-u-can eat fried chickenšŸ—. Both the chicken and the tenderloin were just like grandma would make - home cookin' at it's finest here at Big Creek. I ate 5 pcs. of chicken and mashed potatoes with gravy and corn. Mmmmm.....

This was our first time eating at this cafe; we were so glad Google helped us find it!

*As we walked in the door our hostess was already putting menus on the table for us even though the restaurant was busy. No waiting in line and anticipating your customers needs - nice!

*I ordered the pork tenderloin breakfast which was delicious! I try fried tenderloin at most restaurants we visit, this was by far the best I have tasted and it was huge! We took over half of it home for left overs :) They also batter them fresh each morning so there was no salty/greasy taste that often comes along with a fried tenderloin.

*Our waitress was fabulous, our coffe cups were never empty, she was Informative and offered a variety of creamers when she heard my husband mention to me he was in the mood for flavored creamer today.

Overall an excellent experience and we'll be back! We hope the train that runs through the restaurant will make a showing when we are in...

Bad reviews are a rarity from me. This one is well deserved. It was not the cleanest but yet not disgustingly dirty. Salt and pepper shakers could use a good wipe down. I was seated quickly and ordered within 5 minutes then proceeded to wait almost 40 minutes to get my breakfast. I had nothing to do but sit there and watch and they only brought out food for four tables in that time span. I almost walked out when I heard them say one more time order up, amazingly it was mine. Sad to say it was substandard and probably one of the least enjoyable breakfasts I've ever had. I'm not sure if my extremely mediocre waitress got the message when the miniscule tip was left and I walked out. If she didn't get the message, hopefully they will make her read this review. Not sure what it would take, if anything to get me to go back. At least I had a very enjoyable motorcycle ride one...

It was a very, Very long walk for myself and my very patient Marley dog. However once there, the Kindly Waitress was super sweet, as "We" just inside the front door. The menu was excellent, great selection. After I placed We just killed time there in the vestabule. In surprisingly short time, she kindly brought it to us, yes I say us because, well, it was a Meat Omelette for me and 3 pieces of Bacon for herself. Trust me after that very, Very long walk she deserved to be treated kindly. That said. Even after she had hers, she joined me, just sat there looking up at me. Well, as she doesn't beg, she will make it plainly known exactly what she wanted. That's right some of mine. As it was an Excellent Omelette, and her being her of course I shared. All that aside. Very, very long walk, for us both. But it was very well worth it. I will definitely be...
