All star bagels — Restaurant in Plumsted Township

i went there and got a simple bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, havent gone there in a few years so i thought id pop in and grab a bite. The sandwich its self came out to like $7.47.. just a plain bacon egg and cheese nothing special. i was shocked at the price, you can literally get cheaper in nyc which is saying ALOT. so im thinking this better be the best bec i had in my life. it was not. egg cooked perfect bacon cooked perfect but there bagels are NOT good. theyre thin and hve a hint of cinnamon in it. it was a sesame seen bagel why am i tasting cinnamon(which is why i stopped going years ago, the bagels are subpar) i was in there before 11 why is the bagel stale, thin, doesnt look appealing and has a hint of cinnamon. I think its a shame that our town is getting robbed by theses ridiculous prices, and the bagels flat out do NOT taste good. theyre NOT fluffy, theyre almost stale. They need a new bagel recipe ASAP.. id just go down the road to bagel bistro, prices are better and bagels are sooo much better there. Went there this past weekend. We got there 1/2 hr before they closed. First thing they said to us was the grill was off. Next thing they said was no coffee but you can go next door. There is a coffee shop that’s way over priced more like a Starbucks . We Got a few bagels with butter. I didn’t take extra to take home because they didn’t look appetizing. I made the right descision. They tasted like they were made 2 days before. We were not impressed. Also, on the way out they locked the doors 15 mins early and several more customers tried to go in even commenting “really your sign says open and you close at 2:00” They lost at least 5 customers in 5 minutes not to mention our order Would have been more money if they didn’t shut down the grill. They still had plenty of bagels left for the people coming in after us so it’s confusing why they Would choose to close early. It’s their loss money wise and those people that didn’t get in definitely saved themselves from eating the worst bagels ...

Ellie's All Star Bagel Shop & Charleston Coffee House is the best place in all of Central NJ. I've been a loyal customer for 2 years & not only do they make the greatest breakfast sandwiches we've ever had, but they have an amazing staff.
