Won't eat there. Just walked passed it. EDIT: Apparently the owners have a short memory. After a couple years working there, creating 3 menu items and saving their business license by creating a HAACP plan for safe food handling I get treated very badly. So for my efforts Ralph (owner) decides to violate my civil rights and within the same month calling me about work while I'm burying my brother. While I'm graveside! And I still gave notice before I quit. I never got an apology. So it's either more callous disregard or a false sense of security thinking statutes ran out and forgetting that the pandemic extended them. So I would like to know what's so interesting about not patronizing a place that treats people like that? Besides, if anyone got a look at where the meats are processed they wouldn't eat there either.

We stopped here for a bite to eat. It's a modest restaurant that looks like a train carriage. There are a few tables inside, lots of light. The staff is a young girl and two young guys. They are all very welcoming and friendly. The girl is very polite, she helped people with disabilities open the front door. There are only a few sandwiches and drinks on the menu. I ordered the signature sandwich, and my husband ordered pulled pork and soup. My signature sandwich was juicy and had a good filling. My husband didn't like the sandwich very much, the soup was good. We both noted that the sandwich bread wasn't tasty. The prices aren't expensive. I recommend visiting!

Had the Combo Platter. Ribs were nice; chicken was dry, but tasty and meaty. Corn muffin was nice and had a little something different in the flavor (a touch of cumin, I think, or a blend containing cumin, such as a commercial chili powder). Coleslaw was the finely-chopped kind. Sweeter and wetter than some, but nice. Service was friendly, nice little diner-style room. Coffee was good.

I don't think I've ever had a Stookey's meal before but heard about it decades ago. Since I was driving by, it caught my eye and figured I'd stop and give it a try since I'm a BBQ lover. After trying the pork sandwich, ribs, and sides, my response is Meh. I tend to agree with some of the more critical reviews. The food is not that special, not that good. To Stookey's credit, the BBQ sauce was really good. But everything else - mains and sides- were just Meh. I actually threw most of it out......perhaps because my expectations were set way too high from what others have said in the past and the more current reviews on this website. In my opinion, the food just doesn't live up to the name or...

I have lived near stookey's for basically my whole life and they have absolutely great food. Whenever I do attend to stookeys there is never a long wait and the food is always hot and ready to eat. View of the road is not that great but the food makes up for that. They always have great music that is for the most part kid friendly that they played from the speakers. they also have a kids menu. They also have specials that they change which are always fun to try. If you are a hardcore vegetarian I wouldn't recommend this place as they do have many meat-based food items. So if you do not want the food you could always pick up a candle or a cute little decoration you can put on your nightstand or...
