Backcountry Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Plymouth

Stopped in for some dinner one Friday night since our first option was too long of a wait, but this is definitely a first option now!

The road to get there is a bit weird but just keep following the GPS and it will get you to the right spot. The place has lots of space and tables and it looks like they could even put more tables, but it's a ski lodge so there has to be some open room. There isn't a ton of decoration on the walls or anything, but it's a simple lodge type building with some tvs and cornhole to play even. And they have a sweet outdoor area next to the waterfall, that we unfortunately couldn't sit at since it was raining.

But there was 8 of is in our party including 2 young kids, and the staff was very nice the whole time and check in on us when appropriate. The drinks came out a tad slow but they seemed a little busy so that wasn't a big deal. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza and it was absolutely delicious. The crust was crispy, it was cooked to perfection. It had the right amount if toppings too. It's about the size of a personal pizza, maybe a tad bigger so one pizza is enough for one person. Other people got some burgers and those looked really good and juicy. They also looked like they had a big thick patty so those would have been filling too. First time here. It was a bit on the slow side, but I was there shortly after open.

Bartender Nancy provided excellent service with a great attitude.

Food prices are on the high side ($16-19 burgers). Drink prices seemed reasonable considering food prices.

Fun looking place although it was completely empty when I was there (again that was at open on a Sunday). A bit dark and dreary, but I don't mind that.

Had the black and blue burger and based solely on that, I'd say the food is a step or two above "Edge of town" and "Last Chair", the other two closest restaurants that serve largely the same menu (pizzas, burgers, etc).

Was a super crowded Monday due to great conditions and a “ski for free” event. They didn’t mind seating us, 2 people at a 6 person table. The Service was fast and the Guinness was a good pour. Great Chicken Sandwich as well!! Asked for extra pickles and they were happy to accommodate. The lodge is beautiful and easy to access from many runs as you come down off the mountain.
