Donny's Hoagies — Restaurant in Plymouth

I don't usually review places, but I think this place really deserves it... It's a small shop and there is no seating BUT the food is very fresh and it is sooo good! I've been there a couple of times. The first time I ordered a cheeseburger and it was absolutely delicious! Second time I ordered a hoagie and I love the hoagie bread first of all: it has I believe sesame seeds on it which is so much better than a plain hoagie bun. Also, the vegetables that they put on your order, whether it's a burger or hoagie, are very FRESH. The sweet peppers on the hoagie were so juicy! I like the pickles they use for the burgers as well. The burger was a nice size for the price and the hoagies are pretty big also. They have a selection of chips and drinks (including cans and bottles of soda) and water as well. Their menu is right on the counter so you can take one with you when you leave for future orders. They get your order done quick and they are very nice as well. I have been getting hoagies from Don and his wife for over 20 years since I was a kid.. my father would get them for us.. He uses clover field cheese and it’s excellent !! I love the seseme seed buns they’re always fresh! I order from here at least twice a month or more and my kids now share in the tradition! Prices are fair and worth the money! Not enough good things I could say! I would order for my work lunch and they’d include a napkin chips and a soda with my hoagie .. it has that mom and pop store feel and supporting a small business is what keeps our economy going. LOVE their hoagies....when they take the order right! 4 weeks I have tried to order. 3 times something went wrong. Customer service is pretty bad. Owner snapped at me like it was my fault they never made my order the first time I called. I have a very simple order yet for some reason it gets messed up. Asked for no onion, got onion. No dressing, got dressing. Asked for it to be cut in half, not cut and when I asked they said just tell them you want it cut when you order (which I did). To sum it up. I still love the hoagies but you just have to be ready...
