Hometown Pizza — Restaurant in Plymouth

The food was excellent it was the way the employee was treated that was horrible. I placed an order online and my husband was originally supposed to pick it up. I texted him and told him I was going to get it instead. When I picked up my food the employee asked me what my name was and what my order was to confirm, to which I told her. I left and took my food home. My husband didn’t realize I texted him ( which was my fault ) that I picked it up already so he showed up asking for our order very nicely. The employee had explained that someone had picked it up, her manager/owner ( or I’m assuming was a supervisor ) started screaming at her. My husband then said it wasn’t her fault that someone probably did pick up his order and he didn’t realize. He had to stick up for this girl because she was just trying to explain that I had already picked it up. I won’t go back if that’s how poorly staff is treated over a mistake that was made by the customer not the employee. I understand the frustrations and stress of being apart of management but that was no way to...

I stopped here yesterday afternoon to try a slice of their pizza. They had lots of choices, which was surprising, but kind of cool. I tried the bacon pizza, since I was not overly impressed by appearance of the plain mozzarella slices. The pizza tasted pretty good, but I definitely had some heartburn and indigestion. This afternoon, I was having some chest pains and was a little concerned, until I remembered having the pizza. Everything else I had over the last 24 hours was the same stuff I eat all the time. I'm thinking it was the bacon that did me in. The slices are pretty big and fairly cheap. The young lady at the front counter was nice enough. There is not a lot of parking here, but I managed. Not a bad place, but for me, there are other/better pizza options in the area... Sorry, just my opinion. Maybe it was just...

I am a fan of new haven style pizza.. such a Frank Pepe's and Sallys. Now this is NOT new haven style pizza.. but I do love my pizza, and both the Bristol and Terryville hometown pizzas' make consistently amazing pizza. I mean seriously delicious.

This is one of my wifes and my favorite pizza places in Ct besides the new haven styles. Great sauce, great pizza all around. Great job.
