Mancino's Grinders & Pizza — Restaurant in Plymouth

I phoned in an order at 7:25 pm, for carry out. I told the gal, that I didn't want any vegetables, on my sandwich. She repeated no vegetables. I then asked what would be on it, just to verify. She said, turkey, ham, bacon, cheese and mayonnaise. I said great, that's what I want. I asked about soup sizes. I was told a cup or bowl. When I asked what are the ounces and prices, I got....A bowl is bigger than a cup. WTH? REALLY? She didn't know the sizes or price. I just said give me a bowl. She told me the price of my order, no pick up time. We waited 15 minutes then drove there. When we got there, the cashier took our payment, gave us a drink cup and basically ignored us. 15 minutes later we checked on the order. I saw him grab it of the non heated rack and hand it to my husband. NO WAY!! We had been sitting there and so was the food, just getting cold. HELL NO!! Don't hand us cold food and walk away. I asked for a manager and our cashier said it was him. I asked him how long it had been sitting there and he said for about 10 minutes. He knew we were there, he took our payment, yet he let us sit there, only to hand us cold food, only when asked. I was clearly perturbed. He offered no remedy, until I told him he lost two customers. He then said he could make it again. Now, it is approximately 8:10. I told him no, I didn't want to sit there to wait another 1/2 hour+. After several minutes of more offers for me to stay longer and wait for another, I said we both have to work in the morning and are not waiting any longer. I then said the very least he could do is offer us 1/2 off our next order, which he agreed to. So, we finally get home to eat and guess what? Not only cold, but it has veggies! Called back and talked to a manager ( Same one ?) Told them the issue and they said they would make another, if we wanted to come back and get it. We said no!! We insisted that we had made the drive once, paid full price for cold food and still got jacked in the end. We told them to bring it to us. They said they could do that. He would have to call the owner and let us know. Well 1/2 hour later, no call back. My husband is starving, so he went to Jimmy John's. 15 minutes later, we get a knock at the door. New to the Plymouth area and ordered pizza for the first time. Use to order pizza in LaPorte a lot. After placing the order person on the phone said we will have it to your door as soon as possible. A hour later still no pizza. Make a call in to ask where the pizza is to be told our wait time is a hour in a half and if you don’t want your pizza you just say so. I try to explain that no one told us what our wait time was and I was told it was my responsibility to ask so. Then after being told to call someone else they didn’t care what I thought it wasn’t there problem I decided to call elsewhere where I was told what my wait time was and ETA. Definitely not a way to run a business. I was hung up on by a employee and a manager. I’m in customer service myself and it takes a lot for me to complain about a establishment but this was unbelievable. LaPortes branch does not treat people like this nor do they disrespect the community that they are serving. After this experience I’d rather buy a jacks pizza then to deal with the disrespectful employees and management at this branch. Sad to see a locally owned business have management and treat people in the community the way these...

I had picked up an order on 01/09/25 The order was $24.00 total. I give the food a MINUS 5 for the following reasons.

A $22.00 BLT Grinder which is bread, lettuce, tomato bacon bits. Or should I say as hard as bacon bits. Went right into the garbage Tasted like crap. I could have made the same sandwich for about $5.00. Not $22.00

Also an order of French Fries. Dried up, stuck together, had to be sitting out and or under a heat lamp for hours. Rock Hard Tasted one. Right into the garbage with the grinder. $24.00 of food into the trash. I don’t think the rats would eat this stuff. I was not about to drive all the way back to the restaurant. And not looking for a free meal. Nor a refund. I will never use this restaurant again. People check your food before leaving if you are going to use this restaurant.
