Sandy's — Restaurant in Plymouth

Only have the Service four stars because, let's be real, this is a beach side, cash only, hang out. The Staff was pleasant and the vibe was laid back so 4 stars here is 5 stars at a white table cloth joint. Outdoor seating under a covered seating area with a JBL Bluetooth speaker on a pole inside for an audio system. That paired with the crushed ice sounds coming from the outside bar and the breeze blowing through was PERFECT.

We had lobster rolls, grilled swordfish, fish & chips, and a grilled cheese for the 11yr old. Fries and slaw all around and a generous "small" cup of soft serve for the young one.

No lie, we were skeptical when we rolled in after visiting the Plimoth Patuxet museums, truly, but it was a great pick!

Don't judge the book by the cover here. If you like a simple setting with good food at a beach shack by a public beach then come here.

We didn't have any booze during our visit but it would be easy to lose a lot of time listening to the music, enjoying the breezes, and getting boozy here. Beach view dive bar...

Ed the bartender is a riot and makes an already great experience better. But actually every bartender there is great. Food is good, all of it, especially the lobster roll, the view is fabulous. The only thing is that you have to get through the gate with the secret password before 4-430 ...the secret password is 20 bucks to park....but if you leave Sandy's within 1 1/2 hours, they will give you your 20 bucks back. Or so they say.. The 20 bucks is for parking for the beach there and people were saying they were going to Sandy's to get in free to use the beach, so with anything good, you know how there are some that screw it up for everyone else, well now you have to pay the 20 bucks too. I LOVE this place! I'm a local and haven't had a chance to come here also summer so when I was craving some fried strips and scallops I had to come here. They were super busy as usual during the summer but i didn't wait long and had ordered my food to go but when I got home I was missing my scallops! Thankfully I'm nit far away at all so I called and let them know the mistake and they were so quick to correct it!! I went down, talked to the owner and picked up my scallops and they were absolutely delicious as always!!! Along with my clam strips! This is a family oriented place and they do an amazing job!!
