Stowell’s Café — Restaurant in Plymouth

Incredible experience at Stowell's. After an extremely disappointing encounter with the customer service at Marshland, we came over to Stowell's and are so happy we did. We were greeted by the friendliest staff member, who quickly offered to put two tables together so 4 of us could sit together. She got our drink orders (they have flavored creamer for the coffee - sooo good) and was back to take our order right away. The food was SO good - we had 3 different types of eggs benny, a scrambler and the crunchy french toast. Best french toast I've ever had, and the english muffin on the bennys (homemade I think?) were outstanding. You can also top the homefries with bacon, peppers & onions - highly recommend. So Thursday night is $5 burger night, these are mighty tasty burgers cooked to perfection. Add ons, cheese, bacon, egg are minimal cost. This is the only place in town where my medium rare burger comes out just right. I love the sandwiches, Italian subs and reubens are my favorite. Can only eat one half at a time with a break in between. Breakfasts are bountiful, I go for the egg, home fries, bacon, sausage, French toast combo. Regular toast is offered, but what’s the point? Great service and atmosphere! Very welcoming and the staff are on the ball. This is the two stars. I hate to say the breakfast was bad, real bad. Pancakes were truly awful (flat w/out any fluff), the sausage was a flavorless patty (pre-cooked type), and the home fries were in the tiniest Itty bitty pieces that were so over-salted. The eggs were fine and cooked as ordered, so it was really a 2.5 star rating. I hate this review because the service was so good, but the breakfast was really bad.
