Aroma Tavern and Grill — Restaurant in Plymouth

We decided to go to Aroma Tavern after spending the day at White Horse Beach. I got meatloaf and my wife got seared scallops. We were satisfied with both our meals and the meatloaf was great. However, the service was below average. We had to beg our waitress to grab bread for us, and instead of grabbing it herself for us she made the busser do it. The busser was too busy flirting with the hostess to remember helping to wait tables. No one came to our table to ask how our meal was or refill our water. We felt forgotten. The atmosphere isn’t great. The dining area has no windows. My wife even asked “is this place underground?”. No music either and very little decor, very dull. A really nice variety of menu items: appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts. Staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The meals are absolutely well prepared. My favorite is the limoncello scallops on basil risotto. They do have specials like rack of lamb, filet mignon, and of course seafood choices. The menu varies for the specials. Outdoor setting is available and limited indoor. Full bar & decent wine list. Located in a small strip mall, It can be easily overlooked but it's well worth trying to find it. Menu is online. Absolutely delightful time at Aromas. I've come here before but this time I went in on a Thursday evening and basically had the dining room to myself which was nice. I got the French onion soup which is the best French onion soup in town. The cheese is delightful but not overwhelming, the onion to broth ratio is very good and overall the soup was amazing as usual. For my entree I got the lemon cello cream sauce with rigatoni and scallops. Delicious! The sauce was sweet with a hint of salt, the scallops all but glided down my throat as they melted in my mouth and for dessert I got the brownie sundae which came with a warm yet crunchy brownie, ice cream...
