As a traveler, I can honestly say this is a place I will always recommend. Even if they don’t have the food for you, it’s worth a stop. Every time I’m home I always make a point to come by for at least one. The environment and the hospitality really makes a home for so many people. The owner is genuine, has great customer service, he can bartend, cook and run the place himself if he needs to, which seems is not a thing in other places we have been. It’s always a friendly and welcome environment. Another thing I love is employees are part of the place, and stick around longer than you see in most places like this and that has to say something about management. I can rely on the bartender, more often than not, to be able to make a drink that I enjoy even when I ask Macey for something refreshing she is always on top of it and I’ve never been disappointed a time in my life here, day or night. Can’t go wrong stopping in for a drink and a bite every time I’m in town, and I recommend you do to. Support local! It’s local, it’s clean, it’s beautiful inside and supports other local places and people, plus the wall decor is top notch and the bartenders are never a disappointment. I could be bias but I recommend a stop if out that way!

I've been to the Sand trap many many times and the food & service was great. Been about 6 months since I ate there so a group of friends and I stopped by for some food and drinks. What happened to the cooks there? We decided to try the pretzel appetizer and it came out frozen. They brought us another one...it was really warm on parts and cold on other parts. Weird. One of us ordered a Reuben which tasted like rubber sticks of corned beef. Another ordered a patty melt. Nope. It wasn't. Sent it back to the cook and he said that that was a patty melt. Look at the picture. That is NOT a patty melt. We were so hungry that we would have eaten a sandwich from a gas station at that point. So we stopped questioning the obvious screw up in foods...ate and left. Disappointed. The gas station sounded better. Hope it goes back to how it was.

So last night I decided I wanted to go out and eat instead of going to some fast food place, and I'm gerr telling you that it was the right choice! This place was amazing, in ever way I can think of! The food was the best food I've had in a long time and it wasn't to much or too little on the portions. If you haven't been here yet if your a local you've gotta go and soon! There's no words I can think of right now to explain how chill and cool the vibe was in that place! I had the top sirloin steack with a bowl of chilli and my God the chili was the best I've ever had! This experience was so awesome I m going back tomorrow night to get the wings! So hurry and go sit and enjoy, you won't be dissatisfied or disappointed!

Sadly, the sand trap was very disappointing with rude and inattentive staff. I will not be back. I was brought in by some good recommendations from a few of my coworkers. When I went in, they had a good amount of customers. My friend and I snagged a few seats at the bar. A blonde in a baseball cap was our bartender. We ordered their mudslide and chocolatini off their bar menu. Our drinks were TERRIBLE. We watched her prepare other drinks and she was extremely heavy handed to say the least. Pint glasses with ice were filled more than halfway with liquor. I felt like I had taken a swig from the vodka bottle. There was easily 3 shots in my tiny glass. We sat with our menus at the bar for 15 minutes until we decided to move to a table, hoping a waitress would take our order. More time passes, not a waitress in site. None of the tables had been bused. We moved once more to the front of house and after some more time the bartender finally came over to grab our order. Not wanting to be ā€œthose peopleā€ we debating on sending our drinks back but talked to the bartender who seemed offended we didn’t want to drink her gag-inducing drinks. She offered to remake them and we both declined. During that time, my friend had cut her hand on some mysterious object. We asked the bartender for a bandaid. After some time of her still bleeding and no irritated bartender we went to the car. (Here’s where it gets good) The blonde bartender comes out yelling profanities at us, dropping the F bomb more times then I could count. Going off on how we didn’t pay for our drinks, how she was nice enough to get us a bandaid, and that we weren’t welcome back to the sand trap. I shared the story with my coworkers, who also told me she had to send her TERRIBLE drink back. So in conclusion, if you like terrible service, inattentive and unavailable staff, a long wait, straight liquor drinks, dirty tables, and to be insulted when you’re helping an injured friend, then this might be the place for you. To the bartender: either learn how to make drinks properly or have a few of yours to be a little bit nicer to customersšŸ¤™ I’m sure one of them would...

If I could I would give them none. Today is my son's birthday he wanted Sand Trap cause we order food from here alot and have never had an issue. I ordered 2 lbs of boneless buffalo chicken strips, mozzarella cheese sticks, and 2 orders of calamari. We got 2 1/2 lbs of boneless buffalo chicken strips, mozzarella cheese sticks, and 1 and 1/2 an order of calamari. Which the server did tell my husband that they didn't have enough calamari to make my 2 orders so they only charged for 1 we were ok with that. When we get home is when we noticed our chicken strips were not what we ordered so my husband called to let them know the girl tells him Corey will callus in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later no call so we call back. She says he knows and he's going to call he's just not in the restaurant. We explained to her that it's our sons birthday and we don't have enough food for everyone. She just says he going to call let me call him again. So we wait another 20 minutes and nothing so then I call. She then says he knows what going on he going to call in about 30 minutes to an hour. I tell her that this is so not ok and unacceptable. She tells me that she is way to busy for this and hangs up on me. I call back and no one answers 2 hours later we still haven't...
