Pom Poso Place — Local services in Pocatello

We've taken our four dogs here for both grooming and kenneling--and they love it! When we are half a mile away, we can hear Alli's tail wagging against the bed of the truck as soon as she realizes where we are going. She's a 12 year old lab who stayed with her Pom Poso family every other week for a few months due to an aggressive older dog in our home. Our other three dogs have been doodles who require a little extra patience with baths and cuts and the staff never disappoints. When couples might disagree on lengths and styles of their dogs' doos, Katy has been a wonderful diplomat so all parties are happy. When kenneled, the staff handles our dogs' anxiety, medication, feeding and pampering splendidly and we and the pups couldn't be happier. Alli was a fence-fighter and had to be separated from others in the facility, so they gave her an extra walk each day ensuring she had daily interactions. Our current doodles just got their summer cuts and are lookin' dashing and spry. I highly recommend Pom Poso for your grooming and kenneling needs. At first, I liked this place because their website states that the owners live right there on sight, so naturally, I ASSUMED that they would be with my dog more closely than they actually are. The staff seem very friendly and the rates are pretty good. We left our shih tzu here for 2 nights and got back in the evening a day sooner than we anticipated, so we wanted to pick him up that evening. We called, and they said it wasn't possible since they close at 6PM and NO ONE would be around until 8AM the next morning!!! That's 14 hrs to leave a small dog. I called again and stated that it was a long time and asked if someone at least checks on them in that time and lets them out to potty. They said no, no one is there. We will never leave our...

This place is amazing! We have a large husky who sheds everywhere and we take him here for the deshedding treatment and it has made a huge difference. We don’t have to vacuum daily anymore, we don’t have chunks of hair all over our house. We took him to the vet a couple days after his salon ( groomers) appointment and they were extremely impressed with how he looks and they wanted their information because they said it worth it to travel from Blackfoot to Pocatello because they do such great work.
