There's parking on the side of the building and they do have handicap parking as you enter the parking lot. The restaurant is clean and we went at lunch time. We were five women celebrating a birthday. We ordered two appetizers one was fried zucchini and the other was fried calamari. The zucchini was very good but the calamari was kind of a shocker. We did not order from the lunch menu we ordered from the dinner menu and the calamari came out with such a small portion it looked like it was probably left over from somebody else's plate. It was tasty but definitely not a sufficient serving for an appetizer. The food was delicious we had chicken piccata and Chicken francaise and both were extremely tasty but the side of spaghetti was such a small side for a dinner we were kind of surprised. Normally spaghetti is the most inexpensive part of the dinner so you would think that there would be a decent serving. It was kind of small. We already dessert and the dessert was delicious. The cannolis was extra good and they had tiramisu which was delicious and my granddaughter ordered a chocolate cake and she said it was good. On the menu it said chocolate mousse so two of the women ordered the cakes thinking it was moose. When they ordered they said they'll have the moves and the waitress kept saying chocolate cake I think it would have been a little better if they would have said there is no moose it's going to be chocolate cake. I wanted to take some of the desserts home for my husband so I ordered an extra cannoli for one of my granddaughters that was home an extra cannoli for my son-in-law and another one to bring home to my husband. My bill for everyone at the table was with the tip $154. When I got home one of the cannolis was missing and I really truly didn't bother to call them because I won't be going back again. If you live in the area the food is very tasty just at the portions are kind of small the waitress was great no complaints about the waitress except for when I got home and I realized she never put my cake in the box to go. I really did not want to leave anything negative but I think it's only fair that you should be aware before you go that if you like your portions that are regular size you need to say something when you order. And if you're going to order the calamari make sure you tell them that you expect a...
Read moreFor years I’ve passed this place, years, never went in, even before I lived in Florida and would visit my in laws , would pass it, see it, even think it was kinda neat but not even thought about finding there. Tonite I decided that I’ll give it a shot, went with my whole family, in total 9 of us. Now we’ve been to most of the restaurants in the area and sure there’s some good stuff around but this place was really cozy, the atmosphere was very pleasantly curtailed, there were lots of small details, some cliche, some kitsch, some completely out of place but it all worked, if I was going to film an Italian restaurant this would definitely be one of the locations I’d consider…besides all the scenery, the brass tacks…the food. Good, home style like Nonna made, even if you’re not Italian and don’t know what a Nonna is, it will bring you back to some hill side villa in Tuscany and a memory of a past life you didn’t even know was there, good stuff, specially the pizza. Now to my favorite part…the service, felt like I was at an aunts house, excellent, felt very at home, very familiar even though it was our first time there…the prices were, my god, so reasonable, when we got the check I was sweating cold because my wife had told me from the very beginning to keep my pants on tight because we’re inviting…comes the bill…I don’t even wanna know I’m just putting my hand out with my card and be just like “take my money” but then I opened my eyes and saw the check and I wanted to cry…I seriously wanted to cry, I thought it was 1990…I thought I had time travelled to a time where prices were reasonable and fair for the food you get…but honestly it was better than that because the food and service was worth a lot more but I was very happy with the whole experience, left our waitress 30%, she was excellent, good place to go with the family for some home style...
Read moreVery disappointed. I've been to Big Louie's several times and enjoyed the pizza and Italian food when eating there but today I had two salads, a large pie, and soup delivered. By the time the food came we were quite hungry but much to our dismay half of the large pie was a pizza bubble. Because it took over an hour, we ate four of the slices but I called to have them solve the problem. It is not fair to pay for a large pizza that took over an hour and was cold when only half of it could be eaten. When I called, they asked me what I wanted. I said please send a new pie or credit me for the pizza. They refused and said the next time I come in they would give me $5.00 off. I explained that would not help my family and asked them again to either send a new pie or credit my card. They refused. I explained that I was not satisfied and would write this review based on what happened. I was told to have a nice night and was hung up on.
I called back and asked to speak to the manager and was told the manager was to busy to speak to me and was hung up on again. I called again and asked for the manager's name. I was put on hold and when they came back on the line the woman was laughing and said Pete Sampras is the name of the manager. I explained that was a tennis player and not the name of the manager and was hung up on again.
At that point I was done. Big Louie's staff was rude, uncooperative, unfriendly, and refused to solve the problem of the cold half inedible pizza. At all times I did not raise my voice. I was calm and friendly. Shame on Big Louie's. My family were good customers...
