Coffee House — Restaurant in Ponce

To start off on a good note, I must say the food and coffee quality is very good. There is no denying that.

However, there are certain details that take away from the experience. For me, the most striking of them was how disorganized and disoriented the staff were. I had ordered two afogatos (which were actually amazing), one decaf and one regular. We got two regulars and had to get one remade because the person who took our order "didn't tell the barista." In addition, we had ordered scrambled eggs and oatmeal, but got only scrambled eggs. I had to return to remind them of the oatmeal in the receipt. Besides the inconvenience, I want to reiterate the food itself was very good.

Another detail, albeit nearly impossible to fix, is the parking situation. You'll have to hope the drive-through isn't full or that it moves quick; the latter being what I would emphasize the most. I was sitting in my car for 10 minutes before the next car was able to order and I had a gap opened allowing me to maneuver to park.

TLDR: Food is great, but staff needs better training and focus. The drive-through line literally blocks the only entrance; they need to seriously prioritize that line over the one inside as the setting is nice enough for one to enjoy waiting for their food (which I will gladly repeat, was very good).

This place has great potential and I want to see the day it...

Today my family and I went to Coffee House all the way from Carolina PR. It was highly recommended from our family in Ponce but it was not what we were expecting. Since it’s the first time we went to visit we were a little confused if we could sit or if we had to order first. Sadly the staff were indifferent, unenthusiastic and disinterested in serving us, we did not feel welcomed at all.

The food came to our table 1 plate at a time, the first plate came at 10:30am and the last plate came at 11:30am, while other tables that arrived after us were being served. The waiters did not apologize for the delay and even said that it was taking long because the kitchen printer did not print half our order.

The food was not what we were expecting; the taste was bland, French toast soggy, the fruits tasted frozen, eggs and potatoes weren’t hot, the last plate that came was an omelette and it was burnt on the inside, etc. On the other side the coffees were great , the Choco Devotion was very delicious, still they took a good while to make it. I think it’s the only thing I would recommend.

The place looked great, the music was perfect and it’s such a shame we did not have a good experience with the servers, the waiting time...

Me and my family came to celebrate my aunt's birthday,today. We came to have breakfast and arrived at 7am, and only 2 of my family members had their breakfast, the rest of us waited patiently for half an hour. When it arrived it was cold, we returned it and one of the waitresses with an attitude took them back and we waited another half an hour,never came and asked for refund. Bad organization,and bad management, if it only were only one worker,I'll understand,but no. The same person who where taking our order, was in the telephone getting orders also, so where is the management?. Each one has a turn and they preferred to get orders from drive thru first or phone. For what I saw,the only good thing is getting order ready from drive thru.

Definitely, Coffee House changed. I came from VA and expected a good service, but it was disappointing,especially for someone on its birthday.
